I have a computer that is used for gaming and work. Dell XPS 400. It initially came with 2x512mb sticks or RAM installed. I went out and bought 2x1gb RAM. Installed them. Everything seems fine. The computer recognizes them along with the 512 sticks. I am wondering though if having those two sticks of 512 will have a negative impact on the 2, 1 gig sticks. Meaning - would i get better performance if I remove the 2 sticks of 512 and only have the two sticks of 1gb installed. I have recieved no errors but I dont see a significant amount of difference in performance with 3 gb of RAM than I did with just the 1gb. Please help and thanks in advance!!!
