I am the system administrator of a windows-xp sp2 machine, but the problem I am facing which is quite serious and I need help.. The problem is... I HAVE FORGOT THE ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD. I have read somewhere in an aritcle that: the administrator password is stored in an unencrypted format in the registry( but is does not tell where it is stored). SO, please help me and give me the path in the windows registrty where the administrator password is stored, so that I can get it by accessing the registry. PLease help...

Well, try one or two things lised below: 1. update your JRE with JRE v6 2. run sfc /scannow in the command prompt 3. Rt click c drive( windows boot drive), to TOOLS, and then click check now button. Let me know if this has solved your problem
