ok ima list this quick fix after posting this i played with shit so let me explain when u start a game all the settings are defult unless turned on high like mine if u put all settings to the lowest and off and 800-720 res and quit the game start it back up and start the game u should now notice the poor grapthics but works like butter then when u see its smooth no skipping exit to menu and put settings the way u like note:the vsync u cant use caouse u have to restart now run the game ur graphics will be better...how this works u ask theres one setting i think its the shaders or sumthing else but if i dont do that first it still wont be butter so when u start ur game the game wont look like the max settings when u first start but will look a lil lighter but the graphics u set will still be there as a lil fix i have tryed the other things on the net but dont work so far this is the only way remember when u quit the game everytime set the settings to the lowest then when u play again revert and play...we want quality not piece of shit hardware peace

hi i got gears of war and ive tryed everything i can think of too get it running like butter looked at sum things online did it and nothing plz help i even put on 600-530 res and all graphics to the lowest and still choppy here are my specs intel pemtium d dual core @3.00ghz 1gb ram ati radion x1950 512mb plz help

first u need to run in win98 compatibility also did u install the true motion codec on the disk cuz u need that and the xp patch ull need that cuz when u get to the desert jail it will crash......we want quality not piece of shit hardware

idk about that but just goto walmart and pick up fable the lost chapter the only diff is it has like 10more things and ads an extra few like 1hr of gameplay after the original game left off its 20$ it works exelent on winxp and also try running in win2000 or 98 compatibility

also u do need to run win95 like u said but there is a fix for the save game thingy just go on the net and type like resident ewvil 2 save game fix.also i have never had a prob with this game on winxp exept that save thing it should work perfectly also psxheaven or psxhaven i dont remeber what its called one of the two it is is way better than epsxe emu if u know how to set it up......we want quality not piece of shit hardware

i have this game i had downloaded a bootleg copy off the net it works exelent on my winxp it was designd to run on vista hence vista games on box there is an app out there dont know what its called since it instals it on my winxp black editon v4.10 disk but if u can trak it down it can patch the exe file to run as vista if ur using vista then idk also check ur video card to make sure its compatible....note compatibility mode wont work cuz all the modes are out of date and will not work.....we want quality not piece of shit hardware

also what video card are u using i had vista for a month but decided to put winxp back cuz i couldnt play duke nukem 3d awsum ms dos game if u get all the nude patches for it but i rented a pc and had on board vido 256 mb with pixal shader 2.0 but always crashed after the mouse pointer came on screen i am now running intel pentium d dual dore @3.00ghz 1 gb of ram and an ati radion x1950 512mb and ran perfectly on vista as v1.0 the original cd version.....we want quality not piece of shit hardware

also if its bootleg it will not work online dont know if thats the case but idk online gameplay always works for me make sure ur firewall setting permite it to access the net too or just diable the firewall if u have a second firewall make sure that has the thing as allow also if u have ur windows firewall witch is internal do that one too should work....

try putting the install in the cd to win95 since thats the os it needs also u can try dosbox but i dont think that will work i only played this game on win95 that agme is long gone by now.../EDIT by DosFreak..stop cussing in your threads like a juvenile

okay first the game has 3 diskes i think it shouldnt need to restart after the first disk u should be able to install and play however u need to use win98 compatilbilty to play it or win95 one or the other next if ur running winxp u need the winxp patych or when u get to the desert jail at some point it will crash cuz the game was ment to be played on an older os and for sumreasion theres a glitch caseing it to crash also when i played it at sum point when i started the game up it was just a black screen i do it all to go to game but didnt work so i reformated my hd and put fresh winxp and works fine....we want quality not piece of shit hardware

u cant u did the right thing by win95 since it can only be played under that old os just select one of the 3dfx cards there u still play it on ur video card but since thats bacicly all the video cards they had back then thats all u can choose from but select one and play it aint a newer game were the graphics are gonna be good its a lil better than psx console though so thats all u need to know.also u might want to update ur card is a lil out of date cuz in the next year thir gonna be raising all the games to dx10 ill go with the gf 8800gtx at 379.99 on www.tigerdirect.com best card out but need pci-e.....we want quality not piece of shit hardware
