Back at that point Ryzen 7 was new, now we have Ryzen 3 and 5 as well as Threadripper. So things have been a little crazy. At the time I was looking at cooling options and the original plan was just to add an AIO cooler but at the time no one had AM4 brackets available. I ended up reaching out to Alphacool, they had contacted me a year or two ago about working together on a build but I didn’t have anything that really fit. It just so happened they had AM4 support early on, fitting this build perfectly. I will go into more details inside, but I ran into multiple delays and hiccups but Carmine is finally all together. It’s about time we catch up and show off what has been done to the build. *ARTICLE URL:* https://lanoc.org/review/pc-hardware/7631-project-build-carmine-part-3-custom-all-the-things *LARGE IMAGE URL:* https://lanoc.org/images/reviews/2017/carmine_part3/title.jpg *SMALL IMAGE URL:* https://lanoc.org/images/reviews/2017/carmine_part3/email.jpg Thank you for your help Our content is syndicated by *RSS* 2.0 at: http://lanoc.org/review?fo rmat=feed&type=atom Check out our *YouTube* Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/LanocReviews Follow us on *Twitter*: http://www.twitter.com/LanOC_Reviews Join our group on *Facebook*: http://www.facebook.com/LanOCReviews Join our *Steam* Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/lanoc *If this message has been sent to an incorrect address, or you no longer wish to receive our news, please email us back and let us know at reviews ( -at -) lanoc.org* ---------------------------------------- Wes Compton Editor-in-Chief LanOC Reviews http://lanoc.org ( -at -) LanOC_Reviews <http://twitter.com/#!/LanOC_Reviews> Google Plus <https://plus.google.com/u/1/b/111054267662763089650/> Our Facebook Page <http://www.facebook.com/LanOCReviews>

The Ultimate RGB Build: The Hardware ( -at -) ThinkComputers.org Article Link: https://www.thinkcomputers.org/the-ultimate-rgb-build-the-hardware/ Image URL: https://www.thinkcomputers.org/articles/rgb-build-1-email.jpg Alt Image URL: https://www.thinkcomputers.org/articles/rgb-build-1-small.jpg Quote: "So I’ve been using the same PC as my main gaming / video editing rig for what seems like forever. When I built it not much thought really went into it, it was just available parts that I had laying around. The system itself has a Core i7-3970X, ASRock X79 Extreme4-M motherboard, 16GB of DDR3, a GTX 580, which was updated to a GTX 1080 recently, and a few SSDs. All of this was inside the Thermaltake Supressor F31 case, not really much to look at when you walk into the office. To this day that PC still kicks ass and in most cases is more than sufficient, but now that we are doing a lot of 4K video editing I felt it was time for an upgrade. Also we wanted to build something that looked totally badass! That is when the idea for the Ultimate RGB Build was hatched. We’ve said 2017 is the year of RGB so why not build a system with all RGB components? So we’ve compiled a list of awesome components and are ready to get this build started! This is part 1 of the build where we will go over the hardware used and why we selected it."
