  4.  HYDERABAD, India, August 04, 2008:Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (NYSE: SAY), a leading global business consulting and information technology services provider, announced today that it has partnered with ChangeBASE, the London-based maker of the AOK suite of compatibility products. The agreement calls for Satyam to integrate ChangeBASE AOK within its existing services, to provide customers with an accelerated Application Compatibility Testing, Remediation and Packaging solution.  The world-class software, coupled with Satyam’s extensive expertise, will automate many of the tasks required to make applications work seamlessly on a chosen platform. The result is a more rapid process for application compatibility reporting and repair issues across a range of platforms, including Microsoft XP and VISTA, as well as a broad range of virtualization environments. It is especially useful in the early phases of a project, because it assesses migration program requirements very quickly and accurately.  “By leveraging ChangeBASE AOK, we can provide a detailed report on the status of a complete application suite before a migration project,†said Nick Sharma, the global head of Satyam’s Infrastructure Management Practice. “When incorporated into our service suite, the ChangeBASE tools remove many obstacles associated with application deployment, which is a considerable challenge for many organizations. They also solve complex business and technology problems very rapidly, so companies can focus on strategic initiatives.† AOK has enabled Satyam to reduce the time required to package applications for a new environment by 70 percent. Additionally, Satyam is launching several new services that incorporate AOK. These include an application portfolio assessment that produces results in days, rather than months. It also determines applications’ readiness to run on new platforms, such as VISTA or Virtualization. Several Satyam clients have reduced the time of such programs by 90 percent. At the same time, service quality and consistency have improved.  Satyam is the first Microsoft Applications Compatibility Factory partner to deploy AOK. At first, it will deploy the tool in its packaging factory, and then on-site operations, enabling clients to benefit from infrastructure management services more quickly and at less cost.  “Satyam is revolutionizing several traditionally manual processes for application compatibility testing and packaging, and creating a new benchmark in application estate management services,†Sharma added. “These efforts are resulting in practical, real-world advantages for customers.† “Several organizations have benchmarked our software, and the services Satyam has built around it, and found that it provides significant cost, accuracy, consistency and quality benefits,†saidChangeBASE Managing Director John Tate. “We look forward to helping Satyam’s ever-growing list of global customers increase their efficiency and serve customers better by managing their applications and taking advantage of optimal OS and virtual platforms with ease.† #  About Satyam Satyam (NYSE: SAY), a leading global business and information technology services company, delivers consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing solutions to clients in 20* industries and 66* countries.  Satyam leverages deep industry and functional expertise, leading technology practices, and an advanced, global delivery model to help clients transform their highest-value business processes and improve their business performance. 8. Hello fellow editors! Tech ARP ( http://www.techarp.com/ <http://www.techarp.com/>'>http://www.techarp.com/> ) has just posted The Intel Larrabee Processor Tech Report. Quote - On August 12, 2008, Intel will be presenting a paper on their future "many-core" processor architecture at SIGGRAPH 2008. Codenamed Larrabee, the new architecture will have many cores and feature a new approach to 3D graphics rendering. Yes, you read that right. Larrabee will introduce a new software rendering model for 3D graphics. In other words, Larrabee will mark Intel's first serious foray into 3D graphics since their last discrete graphics chip, the Intel i740. If Intel Larrabee works as predicted, the days of discrete graphics may be limited. 14. Dear Editors, we just posted a new article which might be interesting to your readers. A post in your news section would be appreciated. Title: Zotac GeForce 9800 GTX+ (Plus) Amp! Edition Link: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_9800_GTX_Plus_Amp_Edition Brief: NVIDIA's new GeForce 9800 GTX+ comes with a 55 nm CPU that runs at higher clock speeds, yet consumes less power than the original 65 nm chip. Zotac's Amp! Edition further increases the operating frequencies. Even though the higher clocks make the card faster than the ATI HD 4850, the difference is very small and probably not noticable while gaming.

  16. Hi everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend. After devoting plenty of coverage to AMD's latest graphics offerings in recent weeks, it's time at last to turn our attentions to NVIDIA's GT200 GPU, and in particular their flagship GeForce GTX 280 part. To make things even more interesting, the focus of our review today is the latest board in XFX's "XXX" line-up, the GeForce GTX 280 XXX. Boasting some decent clock speed increases over a reference board, it promises even further performance enhancements, so we put it through its paces to see if it's worth the not insubstantial outlay. XFX GeForce GTX 280 XXX 1GB video card review "XFX's XXX range of graphics boards always have plenty to offer performance-wise over a reference part, and things are no different on this occasion. Starting out with this board's core clock speed, we see a 68MHz increase to give us an overall speed of 670MHz, while the GT200's shader clocks on this part are bumped to 1458MHz, making for a 162MHz improvements over a reference solution. Finally, the 1GB of GDDR3 memory on the board is blessed with a clock speed of 1250MHz (2500MHz effective) on this XXX part, against 1107MHz on a standard GeForce GTX 280. Some good clock speeds increases to be found on this offering then, and we'll be seeing how that impacts real-world performance later on." http://www.elitebastards.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=598&Itemid=27 As always, a news post on your site would be hugely appreciated, and we guarantee to reciprocate by posting any news items received from yourselves. Their purview extends across the entire realm of beige, from the calm sea of beige to the shallow cliffs of beige, with the inoffensive beige plains between. I speak in jest. I have a soft spot in my heart for the oft-marginalized company, mainly because they made the first case I ever bought. It was, you know, off-white, a mini-tower affair that came with an adequate PSU. And even though I've since played with the full spectrum of cases, that first case I still have, and still use. Despite the color, it was way ahead of its time, both in layout and features. So I look at the Alpha360, boxed up in Engrish, and I think, people should know about these guys. These cases are awesome. I mean, these specific cases. The rest are all King Beige." 21. Today we look at the Gigabyte EP45-DQ6 Motherboard. SNIP: The Gigabyte EP45-DQ6 features might have had a few limitations but they were far out weighed by the functionality and performance of the board. In a lot of the testing we did against the older P35 chip set Asus P5KC we saw a 30% or more performance increase with the EP45-DQ6. The Matrix Raid Array we set up on 2 hard drives and partitioned to run dual boot XP/Vista worked perfectly and provided a superior transfer rate that exceeded 100 MB/s and after things got broken in was hitting 120+ MB/s in most cases. http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=1312&pageID=5126 A post on your site would be great if you can. 22. Intel’s Larrabee architecture could be the second coming of 3D graphics and high performance computing, but it is still a year away and there are many who are questioning Intel's direction of using simple X86 processors to achieve performance. Today Intel has given us a slightly more in depth look at what they hope to be the future of 3D graphics. Here’s a quote: “ Several years back Intel let loose that it was developing a new and unique graphics architecture that is aimed at both the enthusiast 3D market, as well as stream computing. This announcement brought forth an abundance of opinions which covered the emotional spectrum from great excitement to great dread. The excitement was that a proven and innovative processing giant was entering the graphics arena, and potentially bringing in a competitive and potentially high performance part which will provide competition for both AMD (ATI) and NVIDIA. The great dread was that a proven and innovative processing giant was entering the graphics arena, and potentially bringing in a competitive and potentially high performance part which will provide competition for both AMD (ATI) and NVIDIA. All joking aside, other fears are primarily based around Intel’s previous graphics offerings, namely their poorly supported and poorly performing integrated parts.” You can find the entire article here: http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=602 Thanks for the post! 25. Hello, I have a review to post: "This power supply would be perfect for anyone looking to build a dual/quad core system with up to two video cards, especially because it offers SLi certification for up to two NVIDIA 8800 GTS'. It would also be great for anyone looking to build a quiet PC or a Home Theater PC where silence is needed. Also, the modular connections are great for keeping the insides of the computer case neat and tidy." Link: http://www.techaddicts.net/reviews/fsp700/fsp700.html Thanks! Daniel
