Hi everyone, When NVIDIA launched their GeForce 9800 GTX graphics board a little while back, it's fair to say that there wasn't much excitement surrounding it - Understandable, given the very modest clock speed increases it sported over the already available GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB. However, today we take a look at a GeForce 98000 GTX part which has the potential to be more worthy of the name, courtesy of ASUS' EN9800GTX TOP, which takes the SKU's specification and gives it some more hefty clock speed increases. Is this enough to make it a graphics card worthy of consideration? ASUS EN9800GTX TOP video card review "As is befitting of its 'TOP' status, ASUS' EN9800GTX TOP features some pretty significant clock speed bumps over a reference GeForce 9800 GTX. On the GPU core side of things, we get an 80MHz increase, with the chip's Stream Processors getting a bigger boost as the board's shader core is upped to 1840MHz, a 152MHz gain. Elsewhere, on the memory front, the 512MB of RAM on this board gets a 75MHz increase, giving us a final clock of 1175MHz." http://www.elitebastards.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=574&Itemid=27 As always, a news post on your site would be hugely appreciated, and we guarantee to reciprocate by posting any news items received from yourselves. Computex 2008: Intel Demonstrates Nehalem and Touchscreen Interface
news posted a topic in Upcoming News
Interesting info and tech from Intel: "The closed up case featured a large-ish LCD on the front that Intel had placed an open Windows Task Manager screen on to demonstrate CPU utilization while demoing. They wouldn't let us peak inside - weak. As for what we KNEW about the hardware inside, all they would say is that it was a Nehalem processor that was "overclocked" though at this point (with no specific parts or frequencies known) I would assume that ALL Nehalems are essentially overclocked. You might also guess from that funny 2.5" hard drive on top, that Intel had their own SSDs (solid state drives) working as the storage medium; they in fact had two of them working in RAID 0 and you could guess the response times were very snappy." This industry giant shipped out 55 million motherboards and earned over $16 billion in revenues during 2006. They followed that up in 2007 with revenue exceeding $20 billion dollars. With over 100,000 employees and an unsurpassed R&D team, its not hard to see why they are considered one of the best companies in the game." * Link: * http://www.hardwarelogic.com/news/132/ARTICLE/3676/2008-06-03.html

Hello Webmasters and News Posters, NEW CONTENT (Visual) - GIGABYTE GeForce 9600GT TurboForce 512MB QUOTE: "How can you not love the 9600GT? It’s everywhere. It seems that every company is making at least five different versions of the card; stock clocked, overclocked, 512MB, 1GB, active cooling, passive cooling, dual slot, single slot, HDMI, Display Port, DVI and so much more. It is the card that caters to everyone. GIGABYTE is here today with the heat-pipe version that carries with it 512MB of memory. Silent cards are extremely important to some people, but it was generally limited to low-end models in the past." ASUS has made a name for itself with everyday consumers with the Eee PC line of mini-notebooks. Now that competition is circling in from just about everyone else in the industry, ASUS is up[censored] their product line with two new models. URL: http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=569 Quote: "The 1000 is still a bit of mystery when it comes to specifications, but we DO know that it will at least offer some WiMAX connectivity and 3G cellular network connections. As the model number suggests, the Eee PC 1000 has a 10" screen and couples that with a larger chassis and keyboard design that is apparently very similar to that of the HP Mini-Note." I've had an iPod since generation 2 and with the addition of the iTunes music store I have not purchased a CD in quite some time. With all of the songs on my MP3 player it is nice to have a full library of music in my pocket, but when I'm in the car I am limited to my CD player and the radio. Only newer cars have iPod docks so what can you do to get all your music available in your car? Get a FM transmitter, which will transmit the music from your iPod over the radio. Griffin was nice enough to send us their latest version of their RoadTrip FM transmitter, let's check it out!" -

A news post would be great. OCC has published a new review on the Corsair TX750W PSU Here is a quote from the review: Quote: "Carefully opening the power supply and lifting the top reveals the 140mm Yate Loon fan. This fan is rated at 2800 RPM, 140 CFM and 48.5dBA at 12 volts. An awful lot of airflow and high noise penalty as well. The upside to this fan is that it is temperature controlled and should be quite silent when not spooled up. Included on this fan is a clear plastic deflector toward the rear of the case. This presumably is to force more air through the power supply to provide adequate cooling rather than allow the rear airflow to just blow out the back of the power supply with no cooling benefit." Good day, A new chipset is upon us. Neoseeker takes a initial look at the Asus P5Q Deluxe: http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Reviews/p45_launch/ "The P45 appears to be a decent chipset, however at this time it does not seem to provide any "earthshaking" advantages over the P35 it replaces." Good luck to all those at Computex. Be wary not to over-indulge yourselves. ___________________________ Kevin Spiess Editor, Neoseeker.com 604.247.8886 ext.101

This update makes timezone provide backward timezone name entries in zone.tab file to solve this issue. Hello, OCIA.net has posted their review of the NZXT Tempest Steel Midtower Case. Below is a direct quote from the review: "NZXT has addressed these problems with their latest midtower, the Tempest. Dubbed "Airflow King", this case has a fully vented bezel, dual 120mm front intake fans, dual 140mm blowhole fans, plus 120mm window and rear fans. Sounds like plenty of ventilation, but will it sound like the next Hurricane Katrina has arrived? Read on to see!"
