  1. Fellow Webmasters, Site Owners and Newsposters, Tweaknews.net has released yet another review onto the internet. I was wondering if you could please post it in today's news for me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Article Name: Intel QX9770 Quad Core Extreme 3.2Ghz Processor Review ( -at -) Tweaknews.net Article Url: http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/intel_qx9770_quad_core_review/ Article PIC: http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/intel_qx9770_quad_core_review/img/email.jpg Article Snippet: "The QX9770 being reviewed today is Intel's latest Socket 775 Quad-Core which not only boasts the smaller 45nm manufacturing process as the QX9650, but it also ups the stock core speed by 200Mhz to 3.2Ghz, cranks up the FSB from 1333Mhz to a screaming 1600Mhz, and for good measure slaps on another 4MB of on die cache to keep all cores fed properly." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Could you email back saying you posted it, TWEAK IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT!!!! Many Thanks, Nathan Glentworth Owner / Head Editor nathan ( -at -) tweaknews.net www.Tweaknews.net www.Tweaknews.com

This is Enhance Technology’s T4H CR. The unit comprises a very nicely built enclosure with handles for easy mobility, four HDD eSATA bays, a built-in LCD display for setup and configuration, and last but most certainly not least, a RAID controller with levels 0, 0+1 and 5. An independent PSU and rear mounted case fan is also resident. Before we get into the benchmarking side of things, let’s perform a close physical inspection of the unit itself to get the full gist of what’s on offer." Sometimes a simple server running Windows 2003 or Linux might not be sufficient, in terms of storage space, redundancy, or cost for all of these. The Buffalo TeraStation Pro II series of network-attached storage devices aims to please users and administrators who need a large amount of redundant storage, automatic backups to other units, gigabit networking, and the ability to increase the capacity. ThinkComputers takes a look at the one terabyte rackmount version in this review."
  4. Hello Again, Futurelooks checks out Foxconn's top end GPU... Foxconn 9800GTX-512N Extreme OC Video Card Review It’s that time again; time for one of the two remaining video card manufacturers to reveal what they’ve been cooking up since their last product release. Today we’re seeing green, and testing the new nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX video card. This is being done by way of a board from Foxconn. 5. Microsoft Bribes Users With Windows Feedback Program ( -at -) OSWeekly.com "I will admit this right here and now, Microsoft looking to solicit honest feedback is a good thing. Not because they are trying to entice Linux users to send their thoughts, but to grasp a firmer understanding of what their users like or dislike about Microsoft products. A great idea, but the means of which Microsoft would like to gather this data has become the subject of great concern." 6. Multi-Touch in Windows and OS X: Feeling is Believing ( -at -) OSWeekly.com "Apple obviously made a gamble when they created a phone that forced you to touch the screen and use your fingers to accomplish certain tasks, but it appears to have paid off for them, wouldn’t you say? Gone are the days when the cell phone keypad exclusively ruled the world of mobile phones, and it’s been replaced by new interactive interfaces." 7. Desktop Software Still Alive ( -at -) OSWeekly.com "As I’ve said before, developers are the lifeblood of an operating system. Without them, an operating system would be lifeless and not that exciting. Because of this, it makes sense that companies like Microsoft and Apple try their best to reach out to these developers and entice them to develop for their OS. If they can land an exclusive product, then users who want access to it will have to use their operating system, and the benefits of this are evident." 8. Virus Protection on Leopard? I Don't Think So. ( -at -) CoolTechZone.com "When you install a new operating system, everything on your computer tends to feel a lot fresher. Even though some of the stuff on your hard drive may be several years old, a new OS gives you a revised way to use that information. Since installing Leopard, this fresh feeling has extended to the way I view viruses and other assorted software and Internet vulnerabilities on OS X. I never really had a problem in this regard on Tiger, and now that I?ve upgraded to Leopard, everything feels even more secure. I trust the advancements of OS X and its good track record to keep my computer safe, but perhaps I shouldn?t feel that way." 9. Motorola Z9 Phone Review ( -at -) CoolTechZone.com "We would love to call the Z9 an innovative, new cell phone, but that wouldn?t be quite right. Unfortunately for Motorola, the company is still stuck in its past and can?t let go of its RAZR days of success. A single concept and its rehashes won?t win over the crowd every time, and Motorola is experiencing the backlash in its earnings, a decline in market share and annoyed customer base who would prefer the company to wow them again." 10. Nemo Review: A New File Manager for Linux ( -at -) MadPenguin.org "Generally speaking, I have been quite happy using Nautilus with a little help from Tracker from time to time. Nautilus is a no nonsense file manager that allows most users to get the most out of their files and the way they choose to manage them." 11. Hi all, We have posted a review of one of Nikon's latest D-SLRs, the D60. Title: Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital-SLR Camera ( -at -) Techgage Link: http://techgage.com/article/nikon_d60_102mp_digital-slr_camera/ Quote: Targeting newer photographers, the Nikon D60 is priced right and includes a fantastic feature set. On top of the 10MP sensor, the D60 includes an automatic sensor cleaner, a vibration reduction kit lens, fast 3FPS performance, high ISO modes and a lot more.
  12. Dell and Gateway's Plea for OS X Leopard ( -at -) OSWeekly.com "There’s nothing like a new operating system release to really boost computer sales. A large number of consumers may remain completely oblivious in regard to when operating systems are released, but for those of us who have the dates scribbled on our mental calendars, we use this knowledge wisely. As a matter of fact, I was recently in the market for a new iMac, but knowing that Leopard would be released in the near future prevented me from purchasing a new computer before the OS was on store shelves." 13. A news post would be great. OCC has published a new review of the Gigabyte Radeon HD 2400 XT Here is a quote from the review: Quote: "Like I mentioned above, the Gigabyte HD 2400 XT uses a unique cooling method called "Screen Cooling". This takes a fan-less heatsink and extends it past the width of the PCB, making the card essentially a full size ATX card. This gives the video card a wider and thicker look, while effectively cooling it with zero noise level, from the lack of fans. This design also protects the VGA connection, which uses a ribbon cable to extend the port on the PCI bracket, from snagging or damage. By removing the outer connection bracket we can get a better look at the fins of the heatsink and the holes which allow air flow from the case to pass through them and cool the card." 14. Hello Technology News Community, I4U NEWS reviews the NZXT Tempest PC Case. Quote from the review: "Today we are checking out a PC case from NZXT called the Tempest. The NZXT Tempest lacks some of the polish you get from much more expensive cases like you get from Cooler Master, but it offers lots for the $100 price. All the fans in the case make it louder than some you will find, but there is no denying the amount of air flow to keep your components cool. The case is also attractive with a clear side window with a blue LED fan. The case retails for around $100 making it less than half the price of my Cosmos S. While the NZXT Tempest lacks the polish of the Cosmos S, it is a very good case." 15. Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider ( -at -) NGOHQ.com Quote: "Microsoft did well bringing the 64-bit architecture to Windows Vista but somehow they screwed up. Apparently they forgot who their target audience was when they introduced a very restricted module of driver signature enforcement. In laymen's terms, all drivers and system files must be digitally verified or they cannot run when using the 64-bit version of Vista. In the past it was possible to turn that feature off; but due to new kernel security updates it is impossible to turn it off without degrading security and stability of your operating system. In order to turn this off it involves uninstalling critical security updates that Microsoft has released to increase system security. Sadly, this feature makes Windows Vista 64-bit into a closed and locked down operation system. So what's the problem with digital certificates? Well, the problem is. developers have to pay Microsoft to receive verified certificates, and that makes many applications inaccessible under Windows Vista 64-bit. This driver signature enforcement can be a serious pain to end-users; however it is still possible to turn it off by disabling it up by pressing the F8 function key during system boot up. Pressing F8 every time on boot up can be a serious pain in the ass and frustrating to those that miss the time window available to press F8 during start up. Others have found workarounds, but most of them are too complicated for the average end user to perform, atleast until now." 19. Ultra m998 Case Review ( -at -) [OC]ModShop Computer enthusiasts want their computer gear to look tough. Tough enough to go into your man-cave. Your case should steal the milk money from wimpy cases, and date their moms. Your case should look like it was made from the parts of lesser cases to form one uber-case. Your case should be a badass. What could possibly be more manly than the Humvee; one of the biggest and baddest of all-terrain vehicles? Would you be intrigued to learn of a PC case modelled after one of these marvels of mechanical engineering? Ultra thinks so, and they've created their m998 case to complement your masculinity. 20. Hi, We’ve just posted our latest review and would love it if you linked it. TIA! “Canon’s Digital IXUS range is arguable more concerned with style over substance, but frankly it’s not an issue for those who want to capture images quickly and easily. Every Digital IXUS we’ve ever used (we’re still using the Digital IXUS 950 IS) has been a dream to use and produced excellent shots with minimal fuss. The Digital IXUS 90 IS is no different, and although there’s no ground-breaking photographic innovation the build quality is second to none and image quality (both stills and videos) is well above par - images are crisp and colours are accurate, at least at low ISO modes. The only big disappointment is that Canon skimps on memory, providing an almost good for nothing 32MB card. Still, flash memory is cheap these days and you can pick up a good 2GB card for under £10.” http://www.biosmagazine.co.uk/rev.php?id=731 _____ Christian Harris Editor/Publisher BIOS (http://www.biosmagazine.co.uk) _____

  23. Dear Media friends, APH Networks has published a new review that your readers might enjoy. A post in your site's news section would be greatly appreciated! * Title: OCZ ReaperX HPC PC3-10666 Enhanced Bandwidth 2x1GB DDR3 RAM ( -at -) APH Networks * Description: How much would you pay for roughly 2% performance increase on your latest gaming rig? $100? $200? How about $600? Even the most hardcore computer enthusiasts for the past year have been struggling with this question -- and if you've been following the technology trend, yes, I am talking about DDR3 memory. According to our tests last year, DDR3 memory provided little advantage with original, first generation Core 2 CPUs in combination with Intel's first consumer chipset that supports DDR3, the P35. As DDR2 became mainstream last generation, it is inevitable to all extents that DDR3 will be in the position of DDR2. The question is only whether it'd be sooner or later. Currently, DDR3-1333 RAM is available in the market at press time that it retails for as low as $120. Combined with newer processors and chipsets that takes better advantage of faster memory (Meaning that, it's much more than 2% performance over DDR2 now), more users are becoming more willing to jump the boat. On the other hand, there's also the overclocking crowd that's more interested in DDR3 RAM because the price of most DDR3 sets is now within affordable margins. While the OCZ ReaperX is not $120 right now, what it offers is Micron's latest D9GTS ICs that has gained excellent reputation from enthusiast crowds for excellent overclocking. How does this set of RAM step up against the rest? Let's put it through our tests and we'll see how it goes. * Link: http://aphnetworks.com/reviews/ocz_reaperx_hpc_pc3_10666_enhanced_bandwidth_2x1gb * Image: http://aphnetworks.com/review/ocz_reaperx_hpc_pc3_10666_enhanced_bandwidth_2x1gb/004.JPG

  25. We got our hands on the brand new ASUS Radeon HD 3850 X2 1GB card today and decided a quick preview was in order. That's right, this is a dual-GPU card around the HD 3850 speeds, not the HD 3870 and that means a lower price point. URL: http://www.pcper.com/comments.php?nid=5537 Quote: "The estimated price on the ASUS EAH3850 X2 1GB card is $349 and it should be available starting sometime next week. That price tag places the card between the HD 3870 single-GPU cards (some of which have come out with 1GB of memory as well) and the dual-GPU HD 3870 X2s. This is indeed an area that AMD needs to address as they have no other GPU options for gamers in the $250-$350 range. Hopefully we'll see the the HD 3850 X2 1GB models from more vendors causing a price drop closer to $300." Ryan Shrout Owner - PC Perspective rshrout ( -at -) pcper.com
