I know that this thread is quite old, but unfortunately I've started to randonly get that irql_not_less_or_equal on my XP Home machine.
Tried everything advised, but no luck...No, I haven't installed anything new, and tried Windows restore point to a date before this all trouble started. I understand (also from what Microsoft is saying)that another possible reason for this irql_not_less_or_equal is a problematic driver (video? sound?) - would reinstalling all my system and device drivers be able to solve the problem? I really prefer no to do that, but if there's no other option...please advise!
