Philipp replied to jake1961's topic in Everything Linux
Both Picasa and F-Spot can do slideshows http://picasa.google.com/linux/ http://f-spot.org/ -
No, the updates will not change the style after they contain only bug fixes.

You mean MacBook . Yes, you can but you need at least Windows XP with Service Pack 2 See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3777
-
Yes, the legacy option is necessary for USB keyboards to allow them to enter the bios setup or for DOS.
-
Perhaps you try the text-based alternative installer? You find it on the Alternate install CD: http://releases.ubuntu.com/10.04.1/
-
You need no additional driver for the USB mouse. Just plug it in and Windows will automatically recognize it even without Intellipoint. The mouse will also work fine during installation. The Intellipoint software is only necessary for additional features like 5 buttons or to adjust a few things. It is no problem to install this software later.

Just download it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?DisplayLang=en&FamilyID=9ae91ebe-3385-447c-8a30-081805b2f90b

http://umtsmon.sourceforge.net Many Linux distros support 3G/UMTS modems out of the box but some will require that you disable the pin code first. I would get a modem/dongle from Huawei

The data on the harddisk has been erased under Mac OS? In this case the harddisk was most likely formatted with Mac OS Extended filesystem. You need to reformat the harddisk again with NTFS to make it usable under Windows.
