Quote: Update, in trying to get the newest drivers install my xserver will no longer start. So, there's another problem I would be more than happy to have someone address. This sounds like you installed the wrong drivers. 1) Remove the drivers: rpm -e NVIDIA_GLX-XXXX.i386.rpm (Replace XX with the version number) rpm -e NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-XXXX.rhXXup_X.X.X_X.i386.rpm XFree should work again. 2) Download and run NVchooser http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86_40/1.0-3123/NVchooser.sh to find out which drivers you need

Quote: Ok, so Mandrake 9 final will be released this weekend? I thought I had initially read the 16th.. Monday.. I expect that the release is earlier on the FTP mirrors
-
Thanks . I change this in the next days.

I am afraid that Beta 4 is no longer available on Mandrake's FTP mirrors. I suggest you wait until the final release is out (weekend) and then download the file again

AvantGo support is included in the next larger website update (most likely this weekend) Linux Compatible has already AvantGo support: http://www.linuxcompatible.org/mod.php?mod=AvantGo

Quote: RedHat would not install, complaining about the geometry of the drive from a previous installation (must be Mandrake). I had this error a few times. The solution: Simply click on the ignore button and continue with the installation.

You need the first 3 CD's for the installation

Quote: No NTFS support built in? There is still no NTFS support in Beta 3. Check out: https://listman.redhat.com/pipermail/limbo-list/2002-August/003580.html Quote: Will RedHat beta install dual boot with Windows XP correctly? Yes, however Windows XP is listed as 'DOS' in the boot menu ;(

I check it out tomorrow. KDE 3.0.3 is also included in the latest beta release of Red Hat 7.4 which I download right now Btw are there any websites about APT on Mandrake? I noticed that an official APT package is now in cooker.

I think the main problem is that you are trying to run the standard windows version of The Sims. The Sims from the Mandrake Linux Gaming Edition package is a special patched version for WineX.

Windows .NET Standard Server setup fails on my test server. I got the follow BSOD a few seconds after the “Setup is starting Windows” message: STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF9E7B63C, 0xC000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Any ideas?
