Did some forget to tell you need lot of $$cash$$ for all new Pentium 4. Here what will need new to. 1: Will need Windows 2001 or Window.NET 64bit OS aka codename "Whistler". 2: All new MotherBoard that support Pentium 4. 3: All new Memory "RIMM" Yes that $$cash$$ cow memory. 4: All new Applications & Drivers Intel is saying this puppy not back word's compatible with 32bit software "oh may" look MS will need wirp up real good 32bit emulate. I do agree with you on that MarksmanX sticking with the BX for another yr, by then AMD will have it SMP setup ready to go & cost far less then Intel.

No you should have to reinstall IE5.5

Kevlar digital cd audio. It dosen't play cds digital sound forum for hearing instead cdrom send digital info to the sound card in digital forum. Then the sound card on board DAC to the Spk, Where CD anlog port need to go thur the DAC one time then back to DAC then to the Spk, so you see it one less step. But the CDRom must have the that chip min of the CDRom due not have that chip but all DVDRom drive due have it a must for DVD drive, Both the CDRom, DVDRom & Sound card must have digital port for it work, only has 2 wires. Funny thing is ComputerMan Windows2000 dosen't need the Digital CD audio option box check for it to work if his a SBLive & a compatible cdrom, The problem may lay in the manufacturer drivers.

well It hate tell you this but www.bootdisc.com is dead. I seen to recall some of new Soyo & iWill CD was useing Linux Kernel to do this all in all it going to be interesting. jabbathewocket yup that interest thing Intel come up with min moon's a ago. I'am sure someone will wirte a microkernel just for that jabbathewocket. How ever it time move in to real world floppyless disk system, In case those you don't know Mac dosen't need floppy disk to flash it bios. They all ready have windows applications that change the bios setting on fly, reprogram modem & min other hardware devices with in windows. So you see this can be done with in windows but those manufacturer are to lasy to do it, beside floppy is old & slow unless you got a LS120 drive but problem with this drive it disk format is not very compatible. Which set of drivers did install ?, You know there two set of drivers one is D3D only the other one is Glide & OpenGL only. The D3D must have two monitor for it to work. If you install the glide set reupdate the drivers that fix the problem all so make sure you reboot.

Yup that same problem I have very slow in initiating but work some what I do get a picture but in black & white hehe you pick rigth video source in my case I useing S/Video with that RCA adapter I have WinTV FM model 401. do you have the line-in enable if don't no sound come out or it mute so you need turn it on to in the Vol Controls. Work fine in both Linux & BeOS. Sound like you got a misconfig some where. What sound card are you useing I have SBLive Value. How I have mine setup I'am useing line-out from WinTV card into the line-in on the Sound card & useing audio-in on the TV card with 1/8 mini stereo jack to L&R RCA jack & Video is RCA to it come with S/Video to RCA adapter conn to my VCR & the VCR con to DirecTV "by RCA jack" hehe it work very good.

"euankirkhope" have you try the Conexant Generic WDM Brooktree TV Drivers yes there is overlay problem in the hauppauge legacy drivers, I wish hauppauge had done ture WDM drivers in stude. "bkehoe" crystal clear picture what that I know it not that good it would be if hauppauge had done ture WDM drivers, But that will depend on how you hook it up for starter I would hook it up to S/Video then you get much better picture. The problem is hauppauge legacy drivers is limiting to 640x480 full screen not Windows2000 that why we need WDM drivers so it use directshow & overlay it will give you full screen mode no matter what resolution your in & still look good to like DVD is win useing Soft base apps. I belive USB model is use WDM drivers but that depend on how you hook it up S/Video is alway's the way to go.

Those are same V2 D3D drivers get the small one
-
The Problem is V3 don't support SMP have you try useing D3D mode.
