I tried tell you all that but no we went D3D in stead. This one time you can't have both. The Key word here is "detached device" which Windows2000 dosen't not support, No matter how good 3dfx Software Engineering are with out the rigth support from MS DX you are out lucky here. If I had my way I like see Glide & OpenGL support or at less Glide so I can still run most my games I know this is possible but not with DX sad but ture.

For D3D this true I don't know why Kyle post them they don't work that good. Oh & those drivers are not Official drivers there developers & very old I'am sure they got lot newer one by now but there not on the developers site.

I don't no for sure but that what they are saying "MultiMonitor" I don't know if Glide & OpenGL well be add to set of drivers the set "9/19/1999" didn't have any Glide nor OpenGL so your guest is good mine.

Hi FlyingPenguin long time no see. That the one downside win useing a Voodoo1, 2 under Windows2000 useing NT4 Brew drivers. For now this only way Voodoo1, 2 will work under in tell 3dfx give more compatible drivers. Everybody want D3D well if look at this http://superhighspeed.dhs.org/V2+D3D.htm I have no idea if Glide & OpenGL will be next set of drivers. There is front/rear speaker fade Open Play Control rigth click any where a menu box should popup Go to View then check the Balance Sliders You see rigth under Play Vol it called Play Vol Balance

Shrink Here little reply I made to trippma in SBLive <NG> I do appreciate the work you did being win frist did this long before you thougth of it, all most same as your instructions even went as far claen out the registry & it still fail with good old BSOD win install the new WDM drivers. So I had to do a new install of Windows2000 for the Dell ver LW to Work.

Only new Install Windows2000 work + Dell ver Liveware

The Surround Mixer dose work ThC 129. The off wall thing is Upgrade LW3 CD & D/L ver are newer then those who got a X-Gamer or MP3 card I found this out last week after get one for my little bother

Voodoo2 on Friday to the general public for use in an "as is" capacity. These drivers will not be WHQL certified, but will be tested for compatibility by 3dfx. The Voodoo2 under Windows 2000 should be expected to behave as in a multimonitor configuration. Thanks, Alf 3dfx
