It doesnt matter if is 1 proc capable. it just loads slowwwwwwwww. This Unreal Engine.. with all this precaching loading.. really slow down startup on the game. If you ask me.. about Q3A engine and UT engine.. Q3A loads 100% faster!! and it doesnt have to envy the visuals on UT. I have install this UT game.. in almost 10 PC with diferents config. In all of them it takes Forever to load!! period. And i know.. this wont be fix... not even with 100 patches.. Unreal engine have this problem with loading the game since "Unreal" I remember.. i had a P-II 300 and it took forever to load.. Unreal Loading sucks.. Ill keep Q3..

Greggy so what your saying is that with my Dual P-III 450,TNT2 using RC2 Win 2000 i need to add more ram so the game loads faster?? Umm.... thats sound like a bug issue in Win 2000. Why this game needs more time because it uses Opengl and 128RAM?? Dual P-III 450 is pretty fast for any game plataform .. i dont know.. why could be wrong here.. everything is working perfect. In fact this is the only game that takes so long to load.. even using D3D or Opengl as the default video on the game.

For those who still think that Windows 2000 is a nice gaming plataform.. take another look. Sorry dudes.. In case you did not know, Microsoft is "forcing OEM manufacturers to ship Windows 2000 Professional as a non-media OS." All other Editions (Server, Advanced Server, Datacenter Server) will ship with a CD, but pre-installed Windows 2000 Professional systems will not come with a Setup Media CD. According to the note I received, "no OEM is allowed to ship Windows 2000 Professional with a full retail copy of the Windows 2000 CD." Tell me if you really know what this is. Later

hehehe.. it seems that all Hardware Manufacters have a lot of work to do with the W2K drivers. I hope they come around with all of them after Feb 17 2000.

My hard drive is very defrag. in fact i defrag my hd every 4 or 5 days. This game TAKES FOReveR TO LOAD!! not even with the patch.. thats why it i hate it.

W2K wont be a great GAMING platform. Just average. Just wait and see.. sorry if you all are going to be disappointed. Uhh..i think ive seen this thread in other section of these forum?

Ummm.. why dont we all wait till W2k hit the market. Then install it and then.. Try it!! Then well see.. if im right.. or wrong about bugs on it. I repeat.. all MS OS hit the market with bugs. Why? due to all systems configurations and brands. thats why. Its almost imposible that any MS OS wont have problems with hardware drivers. Thats why MAC is so stable. hehehe they make everything for it. A modem is built for MAC's Monitors'Mouses'Video cards, etc etc. Have you count how many devices Win98/NT 4.0/Windows 2000 handle? Over 1000+. So i guess thats why all this incompatibility with the OS. Also is not because im a beta tester of MS that i talk so much about it. I do know whats going on. I will install W2k 2 or 3 months after the release. I need to wait for those compatible drivers. You all know you wont have them when W2k this the market. Windows 2000 or Windows Millennium will hit the market with bugs. YOU ALL KNOW THAT! It is good for all of us to get these upgrades from time to time. Because of the left off bugs of the latest OS released to the market. I will say that windows 2000 is a great upgrade from NT4. Windows Millennium too as well. I havent seen a OS with the Win9x kernel more stable than this Millennium. But the 2 OS are direct it to 2 diferents consumers. I know you can play DVD's On Win2000, play games ,PNP ,etc,etc,etc. But these OS is not address for entretaiment. YOU ALL KNOW THAT! I think you guys will be more please with NEPTUNE. That will be what we ALL ever want it on any MS Os. Win9x Gaming and Multimedia Performance with the Power Of NT. I think this is the same but backwards of what MS did with Win98 and Windows 2000. They want it to give to Windows 2000 what they should did at a very first place when they released it. Im testing Millennium and we are a few bugs away to make this product almost perfect. The stability of this OS is away Much better than any Win95/98/Se. I can tell you that. OH!! by the way since im testing millennium i made the "CLASS OF 2000" of MS. TOP 200 Beta testers these year. So please.. Congratulate me!! LOL!!

heheh i remember when Win95 was release in august of 95. I have a friend that got the final release in the begining of july. Sometimes.. this happends.. but i prefeer to buy the final product.
