I've already maped a drive on server i run and moved my documents folder to it... but the "Documnets and Settings" Folder resides as a root on the c: drive.. not in the winnt directory... just so u know..

Fellas.. I KNOW what a swap file is.. And no.. its an actual folder.. its Called C:\windows\csc. And its a system folder. I just want to know what reasons that a brand new install would have such a folder in it so huge? I have been researching the net and cant find any info on this folder. Gotta clue as to what it is? Im thinking maybe a system Backup.

Ok here it is. I have build 2600. It is a corporate release. So no Microsoft Spyware.. Could it be Hybernation? if so.. im gonna turn it off. My swapfile is on a whole nother drive.. Its on the D: drive.. another Physical drive altogether. Ive also changed the Tmp directories in the environment variables to the d: drive (they store allot of stuff that should be where the swapfile is stored). Anymore suggestions? I did a check on my C: drive and the windows directory is 3.5gb. I went into the directory to see what files were so large.. I selected all folders and they came up to .97gb. And all files in the c:\windows directory came up to 4.95mb. What gives? where is the other 2.5gb going to? Anyone know?

ALL WHO WAS REPONDING TO MY DOS/WIN2K QUESTION, PLS READ
Feral replied to jdulmage's topic in Hardware
All I have to say... "It was Hilarious" And certain games do require access to Dos files to run.. although your made up fix has nothing to do with that.. Most of the files you need are within win2k... And a Clean install will more than just clean up some old win9X garbage on your system. **I do not indorce installing DOS Before WIN2k!! That is and has been said.... IDIOTIC!! ** ROFLMAO>...... ------------------ When the world comes to a halt, Hold The F*** ON!!! -
Quantus really thinks windows 2000 sucks? Tell us how he is
Feral replied to Arin's topic in Hardware
This is for Quantus.. Why dont you just post your problems... Or as Eddie and Yuppie would say... "Use the Search" to find salutions to your problems... Then Post your fix? This would probably be a little more productive than these slam posts.. And dude... With a negative coment.. and more following the original post.. You are only asking for this. Get with the program and dont bash. "Fix" ------------------ When the world comes to a halt, Hold The F*** ON!!! -
