And if it was'nt For this Board and all the help of the peeps... my Unreal experience would suck!! It running fine!! I love Win2k.. and with these new 3.78 drivers.. d3d is running cool.. Is there a way to enable sidebanding for the Geoforce 256 on Win2k? I am using powerstrip and have been searching for a way to enable it. Can someone steer me in the right direction? I have searched the board and could not find anthing on sidebanding. I am looking on the web now. I do know this.. the BX chipsest supports.. So why hasnt NVIDIA turned it on??? hmmm?? ------------------ When the world comes to a halt, Hold The F*** ON!!!

That didnt help.. I am using the Guillemont (spell) with TV out.. I dont think the creative drivers will work with mine.. i need something that will work with the reference drivers.. Thanks anyways

And if your system is not cd-bootable (if its new it should be) make some install disks from nt.. Check the readme. NT used to come with them.. Now it doesnt

I have one thing to say.. maybe more.. But why is it that we IT people get upset when some non-IT peeps asks us a question? Ok the search is a useful function and sometimes it works.. (more than not) Would it be more constructive to either answer the question then show them how to look it up for the next time they have a question? That seems to speak volumes in the knowlege that you present. I think the "newbies" would learn more if we actualy "taught" them than if we are flaming them! Makes sense to me. I got a better Idea!! Why not try to download the Beta D3D driver for Unreal? Epic made it! That seemed to work for me! http://unreal.epicgames.com/files/d3ddrv.dll here it is ------------------ When the world comes to a halt, Hold The F*** ON!!!

Ok all... I put my system to the test!! All games work. Q3, Unreal Tourney and all my D3D games.. No lockups!! Cant believe it. Lovin this version.. And did you see all the companies that JUMPEd on the WIN2k driver bandwagon in the last 24 hours?? Man..... Hey Yuppie.... i noticed that you are using "SuperMicro P6DBS (dual UW-SCSI) BIOS 2.2, 2*Celery 300a @ 450Mhz, 384MB PC100 RAM" Where did you get the bus settings from? I havent seen them anywhere! I am using the SM P6DBE.. would you happen to have the bus settings for that board or can you point me in the right direction? Thanks

My Honest suggestion would be (if you havent all ready) do a new install of Win2k. All that NT4.0 and W9X code laying around scare the bejesus out of me. ; ) If one is man and 2 is woman, Whats 3 and 4?

Something that has been stated in the past.. For all you Glyde users with 64-128mb ram... You are fine in Unreal. Do some of the Tweaks that have been mentioned in this post and you are all set.. Now For Us Geoforce Users.. I am sad to say. If you have less than 256mb of ram for UT, We are sort of out of luck.. UT was not optimized for D3D or OpenGL. sucks But you gotta love those API wars. I had to put me old Diamond Voodoo2 back in just to play UT. Now i gotta get more ram!! [This message has been edited by Feral (edited 08 February 2000).]

I was wondering... Have you guys ever heard of solid state ram?? and whats with this overhead?? Putting a swap file on a ram drive has almost no overhead... And if you have an ungodly amount of ram... why not use a ram drive... Most of these systems we are talking about anyway are for games, Not CAD, Not VB, NOT DB and Not Servers. I have been using a ramdrive with a swap file.. and my hard drive "thrashing" was cut to nill. SO callin this guy a yuppy for being different is not called for.. LOL.. Its guys who think outside the Box that actualy get stuff to run. **this is not a slam.

Are there any Drivers available for the Diamond Monster Sound sound cards?? Beta or pre-release? I would love to have these.
