yeah but the only problem is you have to format both ur drives to make them dynamic so you can stripem.

I havent used the software that u are using. But I gaurantee you that it has got to be a setting somehwere in ur power dvd software, so just goto help and search "always on top" in ur power dvd sofftware.

a lot depends on personal experience, I know Cham has a couple driver versions floating around on his site, checkem out. See how they run on ur box. http://win2kbox.cjb.net/ But ur results with the nvidia detontaor drivers are VERY inconsistant with the other 95% of the population. I hope you did install and do everything properly.

it was a dos interface program, not very friendly at all. It took a bit of reading to understand it. IT was based on and for nt4.0, dunno if it will work with win2k. I wouldnt not recommend on using it, I think NT does a very good job of balancing ur sytem. But if u really want it, I remember I found at www.microsoft.com 2 years ago. IT took a lot for me to find it and I was disapointed with the results. Ill try looking for it as well, u might want to check an nt4.0 cd I for some reason remember that it MIGHT have had it as well.

Sorry I dont have an answer but why would u want to power them down? I'v heard from a acouple sources that its a bad idea to power down ur drives, very bad acatully. Thats where all the damage occurs spinning up and down.

depends on individual results, use 5.13 and try different opengl dll's and stick with whatever works or use 5.13 and if it locks up underclock ur card u shouldnt get any lock ups and still get excellent perofrmance

well there are TONS of things I can tell u but I will need ur help here. When using 5.13 drivers when does the system reboot? does it just randomly reboot? does it reboot when starting an opengl based game? does it restart when starting a d3d game? do you get a blue screen of death? if so what does it say? have u tried under clocking ur card? do u get any freezeups after the weird anomalies start? how does quake 2 run? if u dont have the game download the demo from www.3dfiles.com once u answer some of the above questions I can recommend a few things. Such as if its an opengl problem, use 5.13 but change the opengl dll to a version that is compatible with ur system, then goto display properties and fix vsync via the display properties. This can only be done with det. 5.13 sicne they have the *.cpl file which gives the ability to change multiple graphics card options via display properties. its 3:04 am there are many things to do but gimme ur input first. I just threw in a brand new 20.5 gig deskstar from ibm. its a fat32 format, 1 big partition, and I wanted to upgrade to a dynamic drive so I can commence with software stripping. I dont have my second disk in there, but I jsut wanted to see what a dynamic drive is like. ITs properties abilities, and toy around with it. When I select upgrade to dynamic drive it gives me the folowing error: LDM configuration disk write error and LDM means (Logical Disk Management or Manager any clues of what to do? or do I need to select both drives at the same time, I didnt think I had to. and Im running this drive on a hotrod controller thats built onto my BP6 mobo. hmm thats odd I used an old isa sb16, the damn thing was so old that it had an on board cdrom ide connector thats like 6+ years ago hmm I wonder why its not wokring, u should try changing ur bios and setting the irq to legacy

I thoguht I had the newest drivers but I checked at bp6.com and it seemed the had released new drivers, which solved some problems and Im thinking this was one of them. Well u can check win2k help, and look up dynamic disks. Basically its just so u can span/stripe drives together. u have to make the whole drive dynamic u cant just make a partition dynamic. There really is no advantage unless u want to span/stripe ur drive to another one. and dont worry we all gotta learn somewhere. and there seems to be a limit for the size of harddrive space u can stripe using fat32 I didnt try ntfs. I had to make 2 18 gig stripped drives instead of one big 36 gig one.

I tried both ntfs and fat32. fat32 yielded faster performance in benchmarks, thats why I want to stick with fat32. But I tried ntfs as well and it didnt work, same error.

the bp6 is the by far the best motherboard for the price. I mean coem on fellas having a dual 550 system for like 300 bucks 7 months ago is ridiculously cheap, **** u cant do that now, and I did it 7!!! months ago. Yes with the powerleap converter and a abit bios update we should be able to run coppermines on the bp6.

geoph Iv got 7 harddrives, and for some reason, I get that exact same problem with just 1 of my drives. I cant explain it. its an old 2 gig caviar WD harddrive. NO matter what controller its on ata 66 or ata 33, my win2k wont load if that hardrive is connected to that computer. As soon as I took it out, everything worked flawlessly. my 2 ata 66 WD 7200 rpm drives worked and my ata 33 cdrom drives and harddrives all worked.

distance? I dont have a clue, but Im guessing with a Highquality cable, IE gold leads and the whole nine, it would be fine with 20++ feet. And I cant give u the difference in terms of numbers, but with my laptop the composte output compared to s-video is huge almost like night and day. I def think its important if ur a tv-out person

When I coudlnt afford to buy the software I wouldpirate it, now I can afford some so I buy some, especially games that I support like UT and q3a. NOw I gotta be honest, I won a copy of 2k, but if I hadnt won a copy of win2k and b/c I am a beta tester I woulda just used the last build instead of paying some 200 dollars. Plus knowing the exorbint amount MS makes and has bothers me, Im no capitalist, but there are limits, just like the prices of p3's compared to celerons bother me. Obviously they over charge with p3's. And yes I know the larger amounts of cache cost extra, compared to the 1/4th which the cellery holds, but that is faster cache, and there are all kidns of things, but over all P3's are OVER PRICED

yeah we do need more information, there is a stron chance that if ur 8 meg video card has different opengl drivers then ur voodoo, and u did not do a proper deletion of the older files, so its trying to use the wrong opengl drivers. but thats only a possiblity we need info.
