UT's d3d coding is far superior to opengl, and renders better performance especially on nvidias cards.

now that I think about it I does seem to make good sense, to have all that extra info. good deal, Ill add all that stuff into my sig when I get home. yeah change ur mps value in ur bios to 1.1 I think its that, if its at 1.1 now change it to 1.4 to lazy to restart and check. the answer to ur question has been answered a few times already so just to make sure do a search. some people dont know how here is my advice goto search enter "usb bp6" make sure u select the second hardware option which is for win2k, and hit enter.

sorry bro I dont know the answer but I just wanted to throw some advice your way, the mx300 has a aureal sq2500 chip correct? if that is true, which I think it is but I could be mistaken, there is a huge performance loss when a3d is enabled. at 640x480x16 on a PIII 550E and geforce u go from 82.5 to 55.7 FPS at 800x600x16 u go from 79.7 to 53.7 at 1024x768x16 u go from 68.4 to 53 Im sure u already knew but just incase u didint I thought Id volunteer it.

just tried a few d3d apps counting dxdiag.exe, and it worked flawlessly. DO you fellas do total uninstalls of the old drivers?!? some people dont I was jsut checking. ANd SoF runs fine its been running since 3.69 for me. You fellas should try totally uninstalling ur old drivers, and then deleting the inf/pnf files in ur winnt\inf\ folders. And I got a similiar setup so its funny that it doesnt work Dual 366s at 562 320 megs of ram 1 TNT2ultra 1 TNT1 pci (Multi-Monitoring) what sound card do u have?

Well FOR ME in q2 the fps at 640x480 were the exact same at 117 FPS, and at 1024x768 ut was .2 fps faster at 71.2 FPS. But Im sure there should be some increased stability.

OMG, I cant belive he meant what he actually said, Yuppie I know what Ram disks are I worked with APK when he created one of the first software utilities to create ram disks http://www.3dfiles.com/apk/ I just couldnt see any sense at all in making a ram disk and putting ur swap file on it. I guess Im just not used to questions that are so uhmm..... not right. Man what are all these people doing with these hi end systems when they dont know the basics, dont buy a ferrari if u cant f-ing drive.

Yuppie, I think he was making 2 differnet comments he wasnt saying he was going to make it 0 megs, he wanted to make it smaller, and the second question was can u make virtual drives out of ur RAM using the afore mentioned software.

its late Im tired I might be missing something. WAht does quality have to do with smoothness of the gameflow? is the game chopping up or is the iamge quality low? if ur getting 70 fps with crusher then everythings fine, at least it should be running smooth. "quality is not smooth" just leaves me frustrated and lost What is the "horrible visual quality" is it gleaming bright? is everything watered out? is it brown? is the gama low? what?

hey Brody, I answered ur first question in the other post, but both of ur questions are pretty repetative. take a lil time and look around, it shouldn't take u more then 60 seconds to find answers all ur Live! questions.

right click on: MY COMPUTER select: MANAGE DEVICE MANAGER expand: IDE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLLERS select whichever channel u want double click it and then select: ADVANCED SETTINGS tab at the top of the new window

the biggest issue Iv had with 3.69 is that for some reason which makes no sense at all it disables irq sharing on my tnt2u. I know irq sharing is a hardware aspect, but none-the-less the only variable I change in the whole equation is the drivers from 3.53/3.53nt4 combo to 3.69 and voila irq sharing no longer works.

if ur explorer dissaperas tim just restart by doing a CTRL+ALT+DEL TASK MANAGER FILE NEW TASK RUN and type EXPLORER it should reintiate it if that doesnt work jsut log off that only takes a few seconds. gluck

try using the voodoo drivers posted on Cham's web site: http://win2kbox.cjb.net/ and about the monitors Im not sure what the problem is I have two monitors one on a TNT1 and one on a TNT2U. I can turn each one off and select each one as my primary monitor and vice versa. just uncheck the extend my desktop for the cideo card/monitor u want to kill and it should work, or am I missing something?

Iv got that combo in my house Im at my apartment right now, what exactly is the problem? I havent tried it with win2k but it should work fine. Is it not detecting ur hardware? or is it not letting you configure the joystick? and could u define HOTAS for me plz
