aww man u fellas are getting me teary eyed Really only a few beta testers get it? Tahts odd I was sent a win2k key and stuff so I figured Id be allowed to use rc3. bUt its still deniend to me.. that sucks maybe they dont really like me

you can send me the card and Ill try it out for u on my BP6 !!! The default setting for the refreshrate or resolution was to high for ur monitor to handle so when u reboot go to safe mode which should load up and a very crappy and ghetto resoltuion but it should work. And from there you can select a usable resolution thats acceptable to your monitor. if that doesnt work post again

it was giving me rather odd problems lots of lock ups.. not sure why, so I reverted back to 3.52, all of u using 3.53 how does it run for u? get any lock ups over a prolonged period of gameplay time? any video screen freezes or crashes after a few weeks of running it?

Hey if u got a tnt1 w/ win2k rc1+, and ur ADVNACED button located in SETTINGS tab under display properties works send me ur desk.cpl file which is located in x:\winnt\system32 it is a control panel extension file. And if u decide to help me out and send it, plz post that u did so I dont get a buncha emails with the cpl file attached to it thx fellas. Khan

Personally everysingle problem I ever had with games freezing system stopping, or anythighn was ended when I uninstalled powerstrip. Id use the registry to change most of your settings, if you dont know where they are check out some sites they should have the proper reg locations for what ur lookin for. Iv only got 1 friedns whose system runs stable with powerstrip the 3 o us over here always had issues with it, so I guess its jsut how ur systems configed. I know I wont use it again, but itll work for some people very succesfully. and yes try not to be so vague in ur post buddy, give us some specifics, as Im sure u know "all the controls for OGl, D3D, and the other setting for my TNT 2 Ultra Card are.. " covers a whole Sh*tload of stuff, and if u want it all I doubt ur going to get it with these beta drivers...

you have a bad installation, computer overlcocked to hi, harddrive errors or incompatbile programs running in the background. a slim possiblity might be some new cih virus for win2k. soem games u mentioned do not use ddraw or d3d and if they are not working that is def not a driver problem.... kill all the programs runnin gin the background using ur taskmanger and try it again. Im really in ahurry Ill write more solutions later.

yeah feedback like I said whenever u have a problem disable everything and start adding program by program to see what gives u the problem. It's extremely simple and ususally solves most of your problems.

Fellas no offense but if ur new to comptuers dont try to run software that isnt officially released or supported. I mean I hear the goofiest questions being asked sometimes, and ridiculous unfounded statements being made. We got 50 people saying d3d works and one crackhead says "no, no it doesnt work, it just sucks", he doesnt know wtf hes talking about obviously. With hundreds of sites and posts on the net showing how to get d3d to work in rc1 and rc2, and u still cant get d3d to work then u dont need to be running win2k. If your to lazy to do a SIMPLE search and find the answer then DONT run win2k... I read in one of the posts that a guy couldnt get dx7 to work.. even after he was given the link to the final release... and he was running rc2.. something like "it was a fake dx7" was said for gods sake man... dude dont run win2k, if u cant even figure out the basics.... The d3d issue has been beat to death, if u CANT find the answer after a lil serach throug this forum THEN post a question. the mirc channels alone are monumental sourece of info and help.. try effnet #win2000 [This message has been edited by JimmyK (edited 09 November 1999).]

hey buddy best thing I can recommend is to try the new 3.56 drivers which Im sure uv already heard about, our fella Ekstreme made the find and the link is posted in his post as well. IT would seem taht ur system jsut isnt jiving well together, most probably some lil software incompatibility. If the 3.56 drivers dont work Id recommend downgrading to 3.52. Whats confusing me is ur opengl issues. thats very odd, possibly ur card is somehow clocked to high and locks when it starts any 3d feature? or maybe you have an ambient program running in the background. Id kill ALL programs runing in teh background and foreground and try it again.

heh there seems to be some miscommunication, I do not reprimend everybody, hardly anybody . I advice those people who ask random questions which have been previously answered NUMEROUS times. I am an american citizen born in New Jersey USA, but raised abroad my whole life and my english isnt half as good as most Americans either. I practice though, I practice like a mad man There is no such thing as real 3d. Either u have d3d or u dont. This is what he should have staed, I have an slirig with a tnt1 runninr rc2 and no d3d capabilites. True 3D is a VERY misleading statement that gives us lil room for any help. Then he later solved his own problem which was the VERY basic answer all over the net USE 3.52+ DETONATORE DRIVERS!!! so you see this was an unwarranted waste of time for u me and hiomself as well. and otehrs who are reading this

Damn right there are problems I agree 100% with u luny but Im talkign about people like "Jordan Shaw" who jsut posted somethign at the top about d3d. He was to lazy to look a few posts below his to find the answer, and above all that his question is vague as HELL!! I cant tolerate people who expect us to be their Tech Support and are to lazy to spend 5 mintues to figure it out themselves.

MS looked me up I didint pay them squat, they contact certain people and ask them to beta test their software or u can sign up for it as well.

hmm where are u fellas getting these? Im a beta tester and I can only find 2151 on ms's beta site.

yes it all seems to work fine now, DX7 has officially been released for win2k. I play ut quite a bit now since they improved the d3d coding. And shogo as well.

Im using dbd station and when I starteed it up in software w/o my decoder card it was VERY shaky in options menu there was a stability option try that.

thats odd reasoining, 9X came out years before athlon did and they work fine....get what Im saying?? I might be wrong off coruse but with ur logic it doesnt make any sense.

man Id unno what Im doing wrong I still get soem files as missing and I do not want to do the install with even a few files missing... Ill give it one more shot... NO i got a T1 and yes I got beta tester status .
