  1. Ever since build 2183 I have not been able to get ICQ99b or ICQ2000 working. They just do not want to connect, and ICQ2000a comes up with an error box with simply &6 in it with an OK button. Any ideas?
  2. Nope, behind no firewall or proxy, it just animates and does nothing, same as ICQ2000a did. I'd doubt seriously they'd be limiting the number of alpha users considering when others get it and use it, the alphas can't test it when the slots are all used up.
  3. No, server access has not been denied for ICQ2000a because a friend of mine who also has it can use it perfectly well. So basically I install ICQ99b, and just let it sit trying to connect for a couple hours?
  4. Which ICQ99 though? the A or B version? and will ICQ2000 do the same if left for a couple hours??
  5. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not work at all. ICQ99b or ICQ2000a just dont connect.
  6. Any way I could maintain my database of users and uninstall and reinstall without losing them?
  7. I have never been able to get the mic working in Win2k in any build, and am wondering if Microsoft just doesn't know how to make the drivers for my card or what. If anyone has any ideas as to how I may get my mic working, I'd be much oblidged.

    Ensoniq/Creative Sound Blaster 64 PCI

Yes, my mic works in Win9x. Perfectly. I've never been able to get mine working in Win2k. It is a PC mic, one you'd get with your sound card or buy in a PC store. I am using just the standard volume control that Win2k offers, there is no selection to make the mic the only recording equipment.

    SB PCI 64 Gameport problems

I have the same problem KalleAnka has, I get the gameport in there as a standard gameport, however, it will NOT take the joystick, if it does, it doesn't show unless you tell it to show hidden devices, and then you click properties, and it says it's not connected etc etc. I have a Logitech Wingman Digital, but the same audio card.
  10. It was said that Windows2000 would only support 32 bit hardware, however, it is obvious that it is supporting 16 bit devices as well. I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme (digital). And it is plugged in and working perfect under Windows98, however, Windows2000 doesn't see it, and when forcefully installed, doesn't see it's connected, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this??

    Logitech Wingman Extreme (digital)

Windows doesn't see it to be connected, I'm on build 2072. I have a Ensoniq AudioPCI 64 ES1370 sound card with gameport. Windows doesn't defaultly find the gameport, however when I manually install it, it takes it and doesn't give me any problems, but it will NOT let me have a joystick. WinOnCD in Win2k

I have a Mitsumi 4802TE CDR drive, (IDE). WinOnCD works perfectly with it in Windows98 however, in Windows2000, even with the latest ASPI drivers, and the alternate ASPI drivers, it says it cannot check the SCSI chain, indicating a problem with the ASPI. Perhaps you could point out where I may find a working layer, also I have WinOnCD 3.6.421
  13. When I did all the steps said to do in the area to help install, another error came up saying that _setup.dll and _ires.dll needed to be in the dir with setup.exe . I tried a couple more times, it didn't work, so I copied the entire CD to the hard drive, and manually added. An error STILL came up, and said it wouldn't run. Any ideas?
