What do u mean by saying that ya card ain't working? U can't see anything after u install Win2k or u can't play games or what ????????? If just 3d games not working then get new drivers: http://win2kbox.cjb.net/ TO install, change ya video card to Generic, in safe mode delete all drivers for it, clean any registry entrys for Nvidia and then install new drivers. I have HSP micromodem 56k WinModem. It workes fine in Win98 any1 knows if It can be made to work with 2000 ?

Good question.. I'm not sure where the NT stores INF files... A friend of mine is currently installing win2k 2195. I'll ask him to send me the INF file if he finds it. If I get the file I'll send it to u.

Well.. thouse 2 files ARE enough. At least according to Microsoft. Remeber that they DON'T supply ANY OGL drivers and DON'T care for games. THey just cauze troubles. THey make STABLE drivers so all "dangerous" stuff is not there. That is why when u install Win2k and check the installetion youd find out that ONLY 2 files are installed. DLL & SYS.

I just checked my "power" pannel and didn't find any APM Tab is it hiding somewhere? (win2k build 2195)

why did u buy Promise Fasttrak66 for ya board when it comes with Highpoint ATA66 ??? Isn't it like a waist of cash? With Highpoint I had no problem gettign RC2/3 to install with new bios(v1.21) and drivers (v1.21)

I have BP6 board and WIn2kpro doesn't shutdown the computer with or without ACPI any idias?

Which company makes the mouse? Is it Logitech or Microsoft? Both of 'em have now drivers that work well in Win2k. If u hve some generick mouse try installing Logitech drivers. Log. OEM's a lot, so tones of mices are actualy made my Log. but carry differnet name.

Don't notice it any more with build 2195. I have microsoft intelleye mouse PS2.

I presume u installed Win98 1st right? This is how I did it. Make boot disk in win98. Boot to 98, format all the drives with Win2k's on them, shut down to dos, type "fdisk /mbr" shutdown. Boot from boot disk u made, type "sys c:" This will restore all original system files back on HD. U will have working WIn98 and get rid off all Win2k. ALWAY BACK UP YOUR DATA !!! Don't know about the computer but... i810 has a buld-in card and man does it SUCK. I didn't think it was that bad Well.. i810 no more.. Noe it is VIA Apollo Pro chipset with 133 Mhz...

As u just said.. the drivers ARE not FINAL. That is whay D3D is greyed out. But it should still work. I tryed Unreal Tournament and a few other games and they all work. Just remebem that some game might requare a fix to work under NT in general or they don't work well at all.

CDR-WIN 3.8a, Nero 4.0.7.5, FireBurner ???, EasyCD Creator 4.01 works sometimes... Workes well for a friend of mine.. the last one depends on the burner.

What buid u have? WHat drivers for ya carx are u using? If u haven't updated the drivers from either http://win2kbox.8m.com/ or http://seldzar.dhs.org/ then DON'T post any more messages.

It usualy means that "You are using a Promise Technology Fasttrak66" Try getting new drivers that work with Win2k or do the Old way.... Install Win2k on ya IDE controller then install drivers after u r done with Win2k setup. Then switch ya drive back to ata66. This is what we had to do with HighPoint ata66 controller be4 Win2k driver/bios came out.

The question here is... Will BP6 support ANYTHING past celeron. I'd wait and see if flip chips would run on BP6 before I buy it. Some other company, I can't remember which, makes same board same as BP6 but they claim The new generation of Celerons will work on it. I belive they mentioned that board a while ago at www.hardocp.com but don't quote me on that.

To open ISO download WinImage (it is shareware so look for it on Download.com and such) and open it... duh Replace the file and burn it back up. The only thing that might go wrong here is the CD u gonna make will not be bootable.

Nope, I didn't see any option like that in windows. What u can do is go to \Program FIles\Outlook Express and lunch the EXE from here or download it drom New copy of Express from a friend. Or install Full Outlook from Office. I guess u can also re-install windows

I had soundblaster Live (model 1024) as of RC2 on my duel Celeron366 @ 550 and it worked with no problems. THe drivers are available with RC2 and later but if u have model 1024 or later go here for drivers: http://win2kbox.8m.com/files.htm Only the front channel worked on the Live so as off build 2195 I went back to my MX300
