With duel CPUs no point in using MX300. THe dam pice of junk has no SMP drivers and just crashes I traded it for a live now the sound works. Tribes support SMP right? That games has no problems with sound or lockups on my system but Q3 just will not run with r_SMP 1 enabled IT works otherwise...

The game works fine for me but the dam thing grey screens on me if I enable dueal CPU support. I'm running Win2k build 2176 V3 with Ogl drivres. It works fine with no SMP enable.... Any idias?

D3D Works fine. This is a hack from a few drivers put together. So don't worry. They will fix t in the final driver release.

It is possiable that ya win2k is old. If i'm not wrong then most of thouse drivers are build bor RC2 or better. (Build 2128). Try getting a newer build.

That is a good idia Seldzar. On the other note.... I hhave UMAX 1220U (USB) and it works very nice. Even better then under WIn98 and the drivers come with win2k RC2

I have duel system build 2151 but no scsii. That process takes up around 0 to 2% of my CPU time and 2 megs in ram. I use my as USB. I installed drivers just for the hell of it. It worked fine with default drivers.

THey come on the CD !!! to run them go to RUN \CD drive \"setup" directory \ pick the setup file and anter the quotes at the end of the RUN line add win2000

http://win2kbox.8m.com/ look there for drivers. U don't run CD setup. Kust go "add hardware" and point to NT4 drivers on the CD, then reset and go to update drivers and install the ones from that site.

Winrar works. Just search any search engine for it.

Win2k (2128 and higher) comes with drivers for Live. Noneed to do anything. That is unless u have 1024 model or later. Then u need to get drivers from: http://www.mswin2k.net/drivers.shtml Here is how I installed them (I have duel cpu though). 0. Remove all the references to the soundcard from NT 1. Installed the SMP fix for NT4 2. Installed the NT4 Drivers from CD (no sound at this point) 3. Installed the SoundBlaster Live! Native Driver from the site above. (Got sound)

2151 is an intermediate build. Like 2099 was. If 2128 works fine for u then keep it... If it ain't broke don't fix it Microsoft will only mail official releases.. like RC1, RC2, RC3.

Just got beta CDRWIN ver 3.8beta it works with Win2k RC2 Also if u pick install Win2k ASPI driver then Nero and Adaptec 4 work as well . Finaly RC2 begins to look better

I have BP6 with duel Celery 366@550 at 2.1V. The CPUs run worm.. I just had to use Alpha heatsink on one of cpus and "Alpha Killer"(FDP32 by global win) on another. Now CPUs are cool. U'll also notice that if u have one CPU the the Mbo. temp is lower then CPU but if u have 2 CPU's then the boards temp. is higher To solve that I put some heat-conductive grease on the BX chipset and put a socet7 fan on the top of the BX heatsink.

I did as u sugested and now I cvan burn again Thugh I no longer use Adaptec, had to switch to Nero cuz Adaptec doesn't support Creative 6 speed writer yet. THe update had the added support.. hehee.. Oh well I guess I just have to wait a while longer.

If you are talking avout Adaptec patch then u r 100% right... my CD-R can't copy anything! Damit!! How can I get rid of it?

Oh yah.. Adaptec just released UpdatePatch #1 for the 4.0 version. It is not available though their website but is available on their FTP, so go get it if u want some

How can I install IntelliPoint 3.0 software under Win2k? The driver is on the CD but install says it ain't supporting Win2k any idias?

My V3 works well with SMP and my friends runs good under Redhat 6.0

Get a Voodoo3 No beta drivers are floating around for Rage128 and they will not support Win2k 'till final release. I think RC1 or RC2 have beta 2D drivers but no 3D. Ati still didn't made good drivers for Win98 so Win2k is last thing on their priority list.
