Well... out of the box drivers only work with "old" sb-libe but if u follow the link somewhere on this page u can find different Live drivers and thouse work. I got them for a friend of mine, so I can't remember the link any more. Look though old messages on this forum regarding this problem there was a link. (2-4 weeks ago)

CuteFTP 2.8 all da way.. Cute3.0 even crashes under Win98 for me but 2.8 seems to be rock stable.

Ya, Just got my 2nd CPU back... I'm getting exactly 4 mins of sound in Tribes it worked very well with a single CPU, so if u want to go duel stay clear from MX300.. Any1 wanna trade?

I have BP6 board with a single CPU and MX300 running under RC2, so far I had no problem with this setup, getting 2nd CPU soon so will try if drivers work well in smp. Drivers come with Win2k RC2.

If prior to the Card installetion u edit the INF file and change memory/clock settings to different one, will this O/C ya card ?

Make sure on the Win2k system u have a user with the same name and password ans user on the Win98 system. Enable sharing in the Network setup, then on Win2k system for every drive AND directory enable shearing.

Ya, me 2 up and running with my 18gig ata66 drive under RC2. Booting in no time I'm sooooooo happy

Finaly a success BP6 (old one) and Quantum KA 18Gig (7200RPM ATA66, Win2k Build 2128). With BIOS version 1.2 I can finaly boot of my HD on the ATA66 controller and it takes just as long as Win98 everything is working for now

I wish I could. But $205 Canadian is not that cheap for me . I got my board just at the end of August, maybe 25th or 30th. My celeron 366 does 550 at 2.10 but no lower and 2.2 with Duel CPU and the board ain't 100% stable. (even at stock speed) Do u think ABIT might exchange it?

This is a very OLD topic. As of now RC2 works "well" with V3.

Will there (is there) support under Win2k for the Original Monster Sound? I remember that pre Beta3 had the build-in drivers, but the RC1 and RC2 don't have any

Get RC2 It starts a lot faster. Try reformating ya drive and doing clean install. It could be do to huge drive fragmintation.

I tryed your advise The windows booted after about 15 minutes but it seemed as if the FONT directory wasn't accesable cuz windowz was using some funky fonts and just looked plain wired. I rebooted the system and it felt as if Win2k(2128) sefl-distracted. The only way i could load it again, even off ATA33, was by full re-install

This is strange. I got thouse drivers, then just went to Update drivers for the video card, pointed to the dir with the new drivers and let windows copy all the files, I just had to unswer 'yes' twice to it'd replace the 2128 Voodoo DLLs with the older onse. Now everything works fine, D3D (final reality), OpenGL (quake3), Glide(Tribes).

Does any1 know if Permedia2 video cards work well under Win2k RC2? My frieds is in love with SoftImage and he want to upgrade from NT4 to 2000. I just wonder if the card will work well under 2000 with SoftImage

I have BP6 motheboard and planning to get ATA66 HD. I heard that Abit has no drivers for the controller. Does it mean that Win2k will not be able to see the HD on the ATA66 controller? Or will it just work as a ATA33 ??????

RC1 & RC2 stands for Release Candidate version 1 or 2. RC1 is Win2k build 2072 and RC2 is build 2128. The later one is the best if u don't make CD's.

Here is the link for the latest drivers. http://www.highpoint-tech.com They still say that u can access ATA66 from Win2k just can't boot 4 now (I just got my ATA66 drive last night.. Win98 no problem.. Win2k no luck )

I have 2 cards and have no problem at all now. Though at first I had IRQ problems. What worked for me is switching PCI slots till I got just the right combination. Now they work just fine.

This is just a guess but maybe that is if u ONLY want to update the ATA66 bios and not the whole board. I just guess that the BIOS I got of ABIT site includes both updates, mb. and ata66. Try it, see if that helps.

Is there ANY Software DVD program that will work win Win2k and V3 ? I tryed SoftDVD and WinDVD both give me some errors and refuse to play anything
