How can you enable this feature for all the accounts BUT Administrator?

What extra rights do I have to give to poweruser so that they can Burn CDs without having Admin privilages?

With Windows 2000 if you just leave the CD in it will wait 5 sec and if no keys are touched will boot of the HD and continue installation. So don't worry about WIn2k reinstallig itself over and over.

Well SHS thanks for a greate copy/paste job, I just wish more ppl would use SEARCH I integrated the SP2 the day it came out and installed it on 3 systems so far, seems to work just fine. Well.. i got BSOD on one system during install, but the reinstall went ok.

RAM?? who carez about ram when u got a gig ;-) SP2 seems to work fine after applying it as a fresh install. I'd gost the system before applying it to an all configured system.

How can I make windows 2000 to authenticate user database against Novell 5.1 user database instead of its own? Now I have to log-in into the Novell network 1st, then log into the Windows 2ooo workstation, this kind of sucks because if the user account is not setup on the Win2k box then there is no way that user can use the system. Microsoft wants you to upgrade, so they don't allow NT4 to be DC or BDC in active directory setup. If you have P200+ with 128 ram and less then 5-10 systems on the network ya box should be just fine with 2k.

What I think Microsoft is doing basicaly boils down to.. If you like NT4 with some service pack then run with it. If you are not happy even with 6a then go upgrade to 2000. After all they need the sales

Interesting... We have a few C600 Dell laptops. With Win98 it take 2 - 3 minutes to boot when not docked and only 45 sec with Millennium. Also Win98 doesn't always turn the laptop off like ME.
