PCTOOLS? I prefer the Norton Utilities. Now they are back on my PC.. Symantec released last months Norton Utilities 2001 for Windows 2000 PC-DOS 1.0 is funny. I tried it 10 years ago on my 286 AT. It even does not support hard disk drives

DosFreak?

That odd. My Windows 2000 installation shows only Windows 2000 5.0.2195 Service Pack 1 I remember only the beta of SP1 shows Service Pack 1, RC 1.59 and release candidate was RC 1.128.

Also most games won't run because the lack of Direct3D hardware support in Windows NT 4.0
-
Try apcompat.exe (is in \support on Win2K CD)
-
I except a CPP for Whistler with Beta 2 (according to wininfo the last beta before RCs) or you subscribe MSDN Professional/Universal or Technet.

This guy need an Nintendo .

Great idea but why 'other' category? Just a thought
-
Why Windows ME? How about Windows 98? Windows 98 is with all the older hardware full compatible. Even my Sidewinder 3D won't work in Millennium .

The link on the frontpage work fine for me.

Here a few quotes: Quote: Our recommendation? Don't choose Windows 2000 for your gaming system. Aside from Quake and a handful of other titles, there aren't many games that support Win2K. When there is support, performance generally isn't up to par with that of Win9x systems either due to the game itself, video card drivers, or other unknown OS issues. Quote: Regardless of what card you pick, one thing is for sure, gaming on an NT based system is definitely nowhere near as good as it is on a Win9x OS. Quote: In general, most of the games we have reviewed have no support for Win2K. http://firingsquad.gamers.com/hardware/win2kvideoroundup/verdict.asp
