Unfortunately, driver still does not work. I think it is more of a problem with the OS than with the game as it stopped working once RC2 was released, no matter what vid card you have

I remember that I got H&D (v1.0) to run under RC1 but it ran REALLY slow... not choppy but just slow, like it took over 1 minute to get to the menu screen. That was on a TNT so I'm guessing H&D just has a major problem w/Win2k.

The BP6 is a no-go because ACPI does not work at all with dual processors. too bad...

To tell if you have 2 cpus, just open up the task manager and check and see if there are two graphs for CPU usage under the "Performance" tab. The reason you may not see much increase is because most apps/games are not properly multithreaded and thus will not get any benefit from 2 cpus. However if you use any high end apps like 3d rendering or animation you should see a big increase in speed.

To fix the popping in MP3s, just turn winamp (or whatever) to directsound output mode instead of waveout output. As for the boot probs I'm guessing that since it is an early beta driver that it may not work in all situtations... oh well
