FYI sp1 for win2k will be released in a week and Mediaplayer 7 in 2 weeks.

Win 2000 SP1 and MEdiaplayer 7 installed (both final) on win2000 and they work fine!

The latest version is 4.08.00.0105 and yes there is a separate win2k install.

IE 5.5 was just made availible for Windows Update Beta-testers, if it helps...

Win9X still has it's uses, gaming is one (of the few). DX8 doesn't really increase gaming compatibility (If you mean beta 1), SP1 fixes alot of bugs but it caused more problems than it fixed on computer. Most of my errors comes from the Nvidia drivers, and mot likely Diamond (Diamond must be responsible for some of the odd behaviour, can't prove it though :-) Wait for Windows Whistler consumer editon if you want to play and have some stability.

Asus has a BIOS update utility that works in windows, have used it to flash my P3b-f and my P3v4x and it has worked every time (Windows 2000). I know it might not be the smartest solution but it sure is the simplest

P3V4X and detonator 5.14 isn't a good combination, it always restarts before entering windows (3.84 aswell)

Viper 550 AGP I get TV-OUT (in color) but have to reboot

The fact that you need to reboot to change to tv-out is bad, otherwise the drivers seem fine TNT1 - Diamond V550

How long can an S-vhs cable be without loosing information. What is best for tv-out composite or svhs? Any differences at all?
