I had the same problem, and tried a lot of things to get it to work.. but the thing that finally made it work for me was that I uninstalled mouseware and then reinstalled it with the predefined path. I had earlier installed it to a place where I wanted it, but it does not seem to work unless it is installed in the predefined directory. Hope this helps

After installing mouseware 9.0 on win 2000 and rebooting I get the following error message. "One of the library files needed to run mouseware cannot be found. Please reinstall mouseware." The mouseicon in the system tray doesn't exist and when I try to acces the mouse settings through the control panel I get the following error message. "An error occured while Windows was working with the Control Panel file D:\Winnt\System32\main.cpl." and I can't get any futher. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall mouseware several times but always with the same result. Please help! I want my mouseware working.

Thnx man that helped, did not quite solve the problem, but when I copied all files I could find in the package into my system and system32 folder it started working Must be something wrong with their setup file.

I have suddenly run into a strange problem, I can no longer install new hardware. When I reach the end of the installation I always get the following error: "An error occured during the istallation of the device The system can not find the file specified." If anyone has any ideas about this I would like you to share them with me.... I have tried repairing the installation using the repair utility in the setup, but to no help. I did have this problem on an other system earlier and then I had to reinstall windows from zero to fix it and I don't have the time to do that on this system.

Have you tried anything else than 4x AGP??? I had similar problems and that solution worked for me, just an idea.

Do you have enough power?? I changed from dual celeron to a abit kt7 and amd 750, when I tried to install win2k I got a blue screen just like you. Changing the power supply did it for me... You need at least 300w, just thought I should mention it as you said nothing about how big a powersupply you got.

I have a Logitech cordless desktop, the first sort that hit the market. Now I have run into a strange problem, the wheels scroll function on the mouse works on what seems to be a random basis. If I put fresh batteries in, the wheel usually works for about three minutes and then it stops. And than after an unknown period of time the wheel will work again for a short period of time. I have tried everything I can think of, new batteries, old batteries, diffrent kind of batteries, (the indicator always state good battery level), newest drivers, older drivers diffrent reffreshrates. Nothing seems to change the behavior of the wheel scrolling function, everything else on the mouse woorks flawlessly, including the button funktion of the wheel. So now I would like to know if anyone has had or heard about a similar problem, or if anyone has any ideas of how to fix it, it is driving me mad.....

I have found that increasing the bufferlenght and decresing the refreshrate in combination seems to help the problem gets a lot smaller, but still exists, so any ideas would still be appreciated.

I have been in contact with their technical support twice about the problem with the software under w2k. The first time was couple of months ago, they then replied: "At the moment Windows 2000 is unsupported. We are working on the Windows 2000 version and will be releasing it in Mid-March." So I sent them an email again asking about this and their reply yesterday was: "It should be out next week."

Which is fastest, NTFS or FAT32?
KalleAnka replied to Turbo Grunkamoj's topic in Customization & Tweaking
My opinion is that you can't feel any difference in speed, but you can without a doubt hear a diffrence. The NTFS partitions make a lot more noice than FAT 32 partitions. I know this might sound strange, but I always thougt my disk made a lot of noice compared to one of my friends that had the same sort of drive. In the end the only difference between us was the file system, so i changed mine to FAT 32 and the sound level droped a LOT. -
Topic kind of says it all, please help!

Need cd burning program that supports filenames LONGER than
KalleAnka replied to KalleAnka's topic in Software
Sorry, misshap with the latest post... I am well aware of the problem with Joliet. As we all know the ISO standard for names is anything but good, the Joliet is a bit better but still not good enough. That is why I asked for a program that could do better... Like the program from NTI, suppose I will have to fight a bit more with it to get it to run under 2000, if no one has any better ideas. -

Yes, the paths can be very long but the filename is still limited to 64 chars. I used to use NTI CD-Maker Pro but I can't get it to work in 2000, gives me an error when it should start burning.. -
Could anyone change the topic to: Is there anyone who hasn't broken the 24hr uptime barrier yet?

Just downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the mouse works like a charm. (Yes, I had problems earlier, something about a missing file) ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/mouse/900b94en.exe Found this on:http://www.voodooextreme.com/ P.S. Haven't tried the wheel in games yet...

I love these new drivers, the 3.75 would lock my system when trying to go fullscreen in d3d. I haven't had any problems so far with these, played around with diffrent d3d games mpeg video and other things that used to lock my system. No problems what so ever tnt1 dual 366@550 on abit bp6 128mb ram and a lot more.

I don't know if this is the right topic, but I would think twice before chainging to NTFS. This is why: 1. My hard disks made a lot more sound than any of my friends, the only difference I could find was the file system they used fat32 and I NTFS. When I changed my to fat32 the sound level was cut in half. 2. The disk feels a lot faster, the keyword being feels here, I haven't done any benchmark's so I don't KNOW but..... Anyone else made similar observations?

Just a small comment LocalMap=UT-Logo-Maps.unr should be: LocalMap=UT-Logo-Map.unr

It looks like I'm an idiot to.... Have been uppgrading my tnt drivers since win2k was build 2072, always doing it the same way, never had any problems, but now I can't get the d3d to work with the 3.75 drivers. The way I always update them doesn't work so I've tried every other optional update procedure that I have heard of(yes searched the forum) short of formating and starting from scratch. It still doesn't work so, YES I MUST BE AN IDIOT!!!

After installing the 3.75 drivers my UT won't run anymore, hangs the computer when it should switch to d3d. Same problem with d3d screensavers.... Haven't tried anything else, tired of rebooting. So it is back to 3.69. P.S. that works great so it must be a driver issue. dual celeron 366@550 cl tnt1 128mb ram lots of other stuff
