    Mouse keys stick in games?

On my machine, the pb comes from the keyboard rather than the mouse buttons. On some games (those using DirectInput I guess) the keys sometimes lock, therefore making impossible to play the game correctly. Ex: Pro Pinball fantastic journey Rally championship 2000. On RC2000, the sound is not working well either. Seems that at times it cycles on the same audio buffer block (same engine REV) and suddenly goes faster to catch up the delay. My system : RC3 2183 PIII500, TNT2, 256 RAM SBLive with plain MS drivers

    UDMA settings for HTP366

I need to use the HPT366 because I've got 3 HD, 1 cdrom, 1 dvd & 1 burner. As you should have noticed, the DMA settings on the IDE channels under 2000 are NOT checked by default when it's a CD or DVD that is connected. Therefore I'm quite positive (I've TESTED my DVD on the normal IDE & it worked) that the same thing happens on the HTP366, only pb is that you cannot set these settings. About my DVD player, the only one that works under 2000 is WinDVD, either the one that ends with 99 (sorry I don't remember the name), or winDVD 2000. PowerDVD worked once, but now crashes. Cinemaster never worked.

    UDMA settings for HTP366

Hi everyone I've recently installed RC3 with the new 1.20 HTP366 drivers & BIOS 1.21 on a BE6. I've got a pioneer A03S DVD drive connected to one of the ATA66 IDE. I was trying to understand why the DVD playback was SO crappy when I thought of the DMA settings we usually find in the primary & secondary IDE channel (as you all know, the default for CD drives is PIO only, you have to change that by hand). Well, this "Use DMA if available" is not there on the Mass storage controller, corresponding to the ATA66 channels. And I'm positive that this crappy DVD playback is a DMA pb as my DVD on a normal IDE channel with DMA activated works just fine. Furthermore, if I try to keep my config like this & put my ASUS cdrom on one of the ATA66 channel, it freezes w2000 everytime I put a CD in it ! Anyone has a solution for this DMA setting pb ? some registry hack perhaps ? thanx

I thought the latest drivers available were on firingsquad ? those on betanews seem quite old don't they ?

    Is anyone have a W2K working with BE6 & HPT 366 ?

I want to use W2000 because I play AND I develop under this system. It's much more stable than W98, the resource limit is gone, and it's far more "game-friendly" than NT4. So, I ask again the question : anyone has 2000 working with HPT 366 ? either with a BE6 or a BP6.
  6. I tried all the solutions I've seen everywhere, it's useless. I don't even want to BOOT on a 66 HD ! I want to be able to SEE it, that's all ! installing the 1.10 HPT BIOS, using beta drivers 1.00.5 for W2k, nothing does it. My system : BE6, TNT2, SBlive, celeron 300A@504 HD IBM 13.5 Go ATA66 HD IBM 10 Go HD QUANTUM 6.4 Go CD ASUS 36X CDRW MITSUMI 4802TE DVD PIONEER 103S As you can see, I have 6 IDE peripherals, which I would like to see under 2000 (cause 98 is a PAIN IN THE ...) Any news are welcome, please, I think I'm going to cry. No, seriously.

hi all I'm using w2k(2072), with TNT2 & SBLive!, and with almost every games the sound sounds crappy, with clicks, stuttering etc.. I guess it has something to do with directX, but I'm not sure.. Does anyone has the same pb ? any solutions around that ?
