Well, I set the CAS to auto and turned off SGRAM bank interleaving and I can finally boot into win2k with full AGP support and the 5.13 drivers. I tried using the 5.14 but just about when it goes to hit the display driver, I get a high pitch noise raging out of my sound card and into my 5.1 setup. Luckly it didn't blow the speakers and my cat was pissed. But at least I can finally boot with good drivers. I'm still stuck with the 3.78 driver set from www.hercules.com with the 3.66 NV4_mini.sys. So far, all the current drivers I've used have failed. They where unstable and crashed often after 5minutes. I tried the 5.xx drivers. It would boot all the way up to the point where you see the win2k logo and the scrolling bar at the bottom. But when it refreshes into display driver I see my CD-Rom drive light flash and my rig reboots. I have to boot into VGA mode and go back to the 3.78/3.66 combo. Any advice? Sweet... I just wish I know wtf was going on with this FIC board. It locks up even in Linux which is almost shamefull. Anyone else have problems with the EncoreDXR2 board and the FIC-SD11? I have a sparkle 250W PS, could it be that? I would really like to figure this out. Thanks -- Psi

What type of DVD decorder card do you have? The whole reason why I want to switch to the KX133 board is because I want to be able to use my EncoreDXR2 card again. The FIC SD-11 will NOT work together with my card. I locks the system no matter the OS. I've tried win98, NT4, Win2k, and even the beta drivers under Linux. I'm hopeing this isn't the case for the Epox board. Does your board work if its not in the first slot or something? Thanks in advance -- psi

Yeah man, I went to play AOE2 after the patch and it wouldn't allow me to join a LAN game with other people running AOE2. It would either kick me off, or I would end up kicking everyone else off. Tsk tsk tsk -- Psi

Every once and awhile, when I got to play quake2 or 3 the openGL drivers respond very slowly. This is a geforce card running at .2fps. HORRIBLE! I asked around and my friends say that the openGL drivers dropped back to software rendering instead of utilizing the geforce. Anyone have any ideas on how to prevent this? The only way I found to get around it was to kill the installation and do a new one. That leads me to believe it might be a registry problem. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks, Psi

Ok, fer everyone that missed it at the index, just get the latest DXR2 drivers from Creative Labs. There are ones for 95/98, NT4 and 98se WDM. Use the Windows 98 WDM driver under NT5 and voila, it werks great, 'cept for the fact that you can't use Creative's software, but who cares sense it looks great on my TV Take it easy -- psi ------------------

Oye, and I just bought the Matrix and now I can't watch it... shame on you Microsoft. I've gotten it to work on RC1 but now with RC2 they took it out. Come on big brains... is there a work around or can you post the drivers from RC1? -- psi
