Yes they do. Although I had a SCSI driver that didn't.

I'm reading here about people getting D3D to work on their TNT2 cards, but I'm having no joy. I suspect it's because I have to use the nv4_mini.sys from the 2.08 detonator drivers in my system32\drivers. None of the other drivers detect my card. I'm trying to use the nv4_disp.dll file from more recent releases, and getting half successes. System Shock bombs with "Incorrect free texture memory reported", and Unreal Tournament looks a mess with polygons being drawn everywhere. Has anybody had similar problems with a Sniper TNT2 M64 card?

Bit of a follow up. It turns out that only WinNT 4.0 drivers work, including 3.36. The only winNT drivers I had before were the 2.08 drivers off NVidia's site. W2K drivers still don't work. This looks bad. I might never be able to use my TNT2 M64 card with native W2K drivers.

I've got the same problem as Nam Ng. The built in drivers now restore themselves all the time (namely nv4.dll). I can't test new drivers. I've tried uninstalling the drivers. How do I stop this nv4.dll from coming back all the time??

There must be some TNT2 D3D drivers for Win2K RC2 available somewhere. Over on http://unreal.epicgames.com/ an Unreal Programmer wrote the following :- Windows 2000 RC2 Rocks! I recently upgraded to Windows 2000 Release Candidate 2, and wanted to mention that it's extremely solid! With NVidia's latest Windows 2000 TNT/GeForce drivers, DirectX7's Direct3D and OpenGL both work flawlessly. What's cool about the new OS: High-performance DirectX7 Direct3D and OpenGL support. USB mouse support -- mouse movement is very smooth. Much more stable than Windows 98, especially for software development. Good administration tools, more powerful than NT4 and far easier to use. Great international support. Dual processor support. Plug and play

I wanted to use these drivers, but I found that the drivers didn't find my TNT2-M64 card. Its a generic card that retails for about US$65 with 32MB RAM. Interestingly enough, I found that if I swapped in one file from the 2.08 detonator drivers - nv4_mini.sys then the drivers worked ok. *Definition of worked* DxDiag showed hardware D3D working, I got the initial user menu in System Shock 2, but the game wouldn't run, and I got the initial startup screen in Unreal Tournament, but the game wouldn't run. Reverting to the detonator 2.08 drivers allowed me to run UT without 3D accelleration. So... close but no banana yet. Surely it wouldn't take much for the person who wrote these drivers to fix the bit that got broken in direct draw. ------------------

I've found that my modem won't working if I don't turn it on before I boot up windows. I guess the driver doesn't find it on boot, and hence assumes it missing. Don't know if this is your problem or not. If this isn't your problem, make sure your modem is switched on and connected. Go into Control Panel-> Add/remove Hardware. Remove your old driver, and then install it again.

anybody got a tnt2 or tnt2m64 32 meg, with win2k runnin???

My TNT2 M64 didn't auto-detect, in fact I couldn't get the CD ROM drivers to install, but the drivers 2.09 for NT on Nvidia's web page http://www.nvidia.com installed no problem. -
BSOD = Blue screen of death I've got a HP Scanjet 5p that came bundled with a symbios 53416 ISA SCSI card. Unfortunately I get the BSOD on boot up of w2k with the SCSI card plugged in. I don't suppose anyone has got these two working, or could maybe recommend a cheap SCSI card as an alternative? Regards John
