I've seen the reports about this new Nvidia chip that has sound and graphics all intergrated? Why would anyone want intergrated sound and graphics? You are at the mercy of the chip maker if you go that way. I've had several people tell me that this will be there next upgrade. Why??? I for one like to have the option to upgrade my sound and video? What is so great about this chipset over buying the enw Abit KG7 Raid board that is coming out or for that matter any other new board that is in the works??? your thoughts???

When should we see these motherboards? And will current PC 2100 DDR memory work with them? I'm almost sold on nForce, just need to see some reviews.

If you are a gamer, then I can't see this platform as something to switch to. Yes for system builders and the like there are a lot of reasons to go with the nForce. I myself like the ability to make my system what I want. I know the board will have 5-6 pci slots and an agp port but why intergrate video and sound and then turn around and install a GF3 card in?, I can see maybe using the sound. This is just not something that us gamers or us tech guys will use. Just my opinion.

I know this guy real well, he's my best friend. Don't give him any help with this. All he does is mess with his system to the point where he has to do a clean install. His system is running fine, if you give him any advise it will only screw him up. Plus I don't think there is a command switch to make sp2 do what he wants it to do. He has nothing better to do than screw his box up. He's one of those people that will install a driver and claim to go from a 100 ping to a 20 ping when playing games.

Just about any 56k modem will be fine. Stay away from the Winmodems and make sure the modem uses hardware as compression and not software. If you have a good phone lines you will connect at 48000-52000. Speed may vary. ...

Anyone have Nascar 4 and a SB Live 5.1 card and having problems with sound cracking and just not working right during game play? If there is a fix I would like to know. Thanks...

Depending on what card you have it will work. Currently I have the SBlive 5.1 and the driver disk that comes with it loads just fine on every build of Whistler I have tried so far.

The purchase of Nvidia was just an asset purchase. 3DFX is still a co of some sort. They may not have the doors open, but I know this much. My 3DFX stock is still in the toliet and I have not had anything sent to me saying my stock will be tranferred to Nvidia. As far as royalties go since Nvidia does not own the name they won't get any.
