Um what is this qq bios your referring to? It's not on ABit's page that I've seen. Besides you DON"T need to flash your bios as the first thing to fix everything. First make sure your bios is set to 1.1mps or something to that effect(I'm not in the bios ya know =)Also ensure you have assign IRQ to usb set in your bios. Well first off I would say perhaps it's your overclocking and that win2k doesn't like the 75mhz bus(is that what your using?)or whatnot. Also could be a ram issue. Try downclocking your cpu to default, try another stick of ram if possible....swap out your video card. Remove all devices and cards but the absolutely necessary ones and start slowly trying the programs then replace each card/device one at a time.

The Issue at this point if your gonna buy is drivers, nvidia drivers suck serious ass right now for most people and run great for a small percentage. On the other hand voodoo3 drivers are quite solid and work great. It's a toss up, voodoo3 is cheap and good and depending on the games your gonna play probably your best bet, the geforce or tnt2 is good but with such lacking drivers it makes win2k life difficult. And btw I have q3 looking about as good as a tnt card on my voodoo3.

I don't think thats yourproblem, I have a Bp6 which has the Htp 366 controler and i've never had thathappen before, it sounds like win2k is loadinf(or attempting to load) a present device drive and then halts. Btw what the hell do you need advanced server for?

As far as i know it's 64 bit, unless the drugs are kicking in and I don't have a clue =-)

There will be a 64bit version on win2k for use on the new 64bit CPU's coming but Us home and busines users DON'T need it...chances are datacentre will have 64bit support. Also how can you put down whistler?......god man the thing hasn't even been written nor have you even seen or used it. Don't prejudge. Yes I do get what I pay for....win2k = 3 times the price of win98 and NO BSOD(rare) and NO illigal operations(never)100% more stable than 98 and run's all the programs and games I want. It even runs my web server that gets quite a few hits and do you think I even notice it? Not at all. As well Ms isn't jsut revamping the 9x kernal to make cash...in case you didn't notice there's millions upon millions upon millions of people using winsows(9x). Now do the math with say 1% using 16 bit apps that a f**king lot of people and a lot of customers to keep happy and revenue to justify continuing the 9x kernal till they feel it's time to migrate people to the NT kernal. It's their OS not yours and they seemed to have learned that slow and steady beats rush it out as fast as possible anyday.

Look at it this way, you get what you pay for...I have the same setup dual boot between win2k and millenium beta2 and god is beta2 horrible. Worse than 98, gonna format that drive and put 98 back in, err wait a sec. Screw that just win2k is good enough for me =)

Just use ICS in win2k..... sharing your Internet connection with your Lan is a piece of cake. It was covered a few posts ago.

Rule Number one of trouble shooting Do ONE thing at a time. Do not install NT v3 drivers Get Win2k drivers from my web page http://seldzar.dhs.org aside from that One thing at a time, then reboot. then the next one then reboot....etc...etc.. Holy, relax man...you have one of the best cards to use in win2k. Just check how much better the drivers and compatability are compared to the Nvidia camp. Just cause 3dfx's drivers aren't tuned to a computer setup that about 1% of the gaming community have doesn't mean they are ignoring voodoo3 users. And it doesn't mean the Nvida drivers suck for everyone! =) Did I mention they put out some new Voodoo2 drivers recently? Also I still have yet to see win2k in the stores....hmm perhaps thats a reason there's no drivers yet =)

I can't remember the last time I saw an illegal operation, can you? Also I don't recall being able to play the latest D3D games in NT. Besides, I dont' want the world to suck! Why don't you try it before coming to conclussions?....my games work fine and it's fast as hell.
