Have you tried the cd in the other drive? Searched the registry for diablo and it's settings to see if it's checking the proper drive?

It's definately a driver related problem I used to have spontanious reboots whenever I won a race in Motocross madness or came in the top 3 etc.... when i got the final dx 7 installed it fixed the problem immediately and I haven't had it since.

What jerry should have said was copy the "screwmyOStosh*t.dat" over. If you ever need a better tip on how to totally f**k your win98 I have not seen better. =)

Get the 4.5.7 aspi files from my page http://seldzar.dhs.org They include the aspi checker and the update.

There was a post some time back about this kinda problem......check your swap files location and size and search through the previous postings to find some more info.

Well, I use Norton AV 2000. I do know that AVP Platinum works but it slows your system to a hault when booting up. Litterally doubles your start up time.
-
Win2k has built in support for the sblive. Don't use the NT drivers or the 9x ones, they won't work.
-
Win2k has built in support for the mX300 the other drivers won't work, don't bother.

As if you expected any other kind of response.

Strange you should mention that, I just spend 6 hours screwing with formatting c and installing windows millenium(getting back into win 2k took the 5.5 hours after millenium installed, I forgot the Repair disk.. hehe). To answer your questions no windows2000 is stupid and won't know what the hell you did to the MBR. Make a rescue disk and you can run the win2k setup from within 98 and upon reboot select repair installation and use your rescue disk and do a manual repair and select boot sector or something to that effect. It will repair the MBR and install the boot loader.

Format and start over. Install only cdrwin 3.8a and Nero 4.0.7.5 ( http://www.ahead.de )(NO ez cd creator) then install adaptec 4.5.7 aspi drivers you can get from my site http://seldzar.dhs.org in the files section. Once installed update the aspi drivers with the adaptec 4.6 drivers and try burning.

Icq 2000 works perfectly fine for me. Save for the few minor bugs it has.

I kinda prefer to host my page on my own box....but alas you need a decent connection for that =)

Don't bother with liveware, be patient you can wait like 2 months or a little more. Why screw with your OS and some hacked drivers that have LOTS of issues and poor performance. Just wait and 2 speakers will be fine for now.

Yuppie, the default win2k drivers DO support D3d just not opengl or glide.

This link http://home.istar.ca/%7Egiq_tam/win2k-geforce-365.zip is directly from my site http://seldzar.dhs.org

WHy would you use nt4 drivers when you have official win2k drivers? The first problem you mentioned can be fixed by up[censored] your bios for the ata66 controller and the second is either due to the first error or simply there is an error on your drive.

If I haven't seen anyone more wrong in my entire life. [Version] signature="$Windows NT$" DriverVer=12/17/1999,5.00.2195.3 [Directories] # Specification of the source directory structure. It's not a resgistry hack. Go to device manager, under computer you will see standard PC or something like that. Double click and get properties and select the driver tab and then update driver. Make sure you select froma lsit and show all hardware. Once here select MPS Multiprocessor PC and then reboot All done.

Mix simple solution, don't follow the instructions...just simply update your drivers through device manager......point it to where you unzipped the file...it will prompt you to overwrite the voodoo3.sys and .dll (say yes)and all should be good.....if not format your win2k and once it's done installing again do this first. Thats if you want to format. No offence to you but usually when it doesn't work right it's either your system is f**ked or the problem is between the seat and the keyboard. I have a wacom penpartner and it's detected by win2k however most of the attempts to isntall the software result in it not being detected. However i have had it installed, i have yet to figure out the circumstances that change when win2k decides it wants to let you install the software.

Why does this fix not apply to all? Voodoo3 is a voodoo3....win2k is win2k......it works for everyone i know(save the people who can't get it going on here)

I think your unusable =) hehe I don't know what your problem is, but opengl works great for me in win2k. Q3 runs at no less than 40 fps in 1024x768 on my voodoo3 3000.
