Rc2 has a built in firewall and it works damn well. My box at work is practically invisible.

My intellinmouse explorer works flawless with the 3.2 software, haven't had any issues with it in any games i've played. However I don't play the game you are playing.

What config menu? i'm using the 14.20's and have no issues with my gf2 gts.

Can't tell you if it will work, your the one who owns the ati vid card =) The package contains the drivers for the tv tuner which you obviously don't need but the multimedia centre should work fine.

Apparently you have selective eyesight and completely miss the obvious You seem to have missed the part where I said install the LATEST DRIVERS! Latest drivers = 14.20. I didn't say install the almost latest drivers or the not quite new drivers. I'll repeat again On a GEFORCE 3 that was CRASHING TO THE DESKTOP in WINDOWS 2000, I installed the 14.20 drivers, the LATEST ONES, and it worked flawless.

I fixed this issue yesterday on my buddies p3 1ghz & gf3 easily, it's called install the latest 14.20 drivers. The game ran flawless after in win2k. I have not had this issue what so ever and I'm using a tbird 1.4 and gf2 with the 14.20.

*sigh* Did you install the latest patch? What version of winxp are you using? What video card? What driver revision for the video card? What other hardware are you running? What other apps are running when you run the game? Did you try installing a no cd crack from gamecopy world?

All windows versions come with a task manager.

When programming in windows you can do 2 things you can use the windows function libraries or you can write your own. (Forgive I'm a bit rusty on my programming) When you use the default windows functions for creating your windows they will be skinned as per the os. However when the application developers write their own window window routines it will not be skinned. Basically with the way the icq contact list works a standard windows window function would not work(or would not be as efficient)with the contact list,buttons, online offline statuses etc. This also allows them a larger degree of customizability and control over the icq window. Make any sense? This is why most apps have the proper skinned windows and some do not.

Any of you isntall the adaptec aspi layer? I got a MSI K7T Turbo raid(kt133a) and a tbird 1.4 witha plextor 12x10x32 and i do not have any issues what so ever on XP or 2k. Also have a plextor 16x @ work and a duron 600 on an acer ak33(not sure on chipset) and it works flawless as well. On both of these systems I used the adaptec 4.6 aspi layer.

Did you use the reset.exe crack? If so then there is the major problem right there. I made a post about a work around for those issues and there is a followup with a method i use now(batch file sharing and mapping of network drives) Go search the hardware forum for it.

It's usually divx that are doing that. Make sure you have the 3.20 version of the codec and the latest build of WinXP(I'm using 2509) and it works just fine.

Right click on the picture(format)and select open with...and then select Choose Program. From the list select Acdsee(should be under preferred programs) Check the option Always use the selected program to open this kind of file. Click ok, your done. Now anytime you open that picture format it will open with acdsee on a double click(or single click if you prefer that setup)

You can't uninstall it its not in the windows components. Just go into the messenger options and uncheck Load at startup and run in background options

Check under control panel/user accounts/change the way users log on or off and disable the welcome screen and turn off fast user switching and it will act more like win2k, also setting a password will not automatically log you on. Being that your part of a domain at work the XP install there probably already did the steps mentioned above.

Check in device manager under system devices for cpu to agp controller. If it's the ms 2505 one install the via AGP 4.05c driver. Then rebenchmark
