Wells omething is messed up cause I do not have any issues when i remove the files and recopy them......then i run aspichek to ensure i extracted the files to the right dir. Then I run the aspi.exe to update the files and reboot. Voila aspi 4.6(1021) and cdrwin and nero and anything else works great.

Try turning off services you don't need to conserve on your memory load.

Does that sound correct? Did you install the aspi.exe update? Try it again Remove all the files and recopy them.

http://www.win2knews.com In the files section there is ASPI update file. Copy the files in the readme to the proper dirs and update them with aspi.exe and then reboot. It should work, it does for me.

Everything will run better with more ram..... unreal ram smoother when i went to 256 from 128....windows overall got smoother etc...if you can afford it(since ram is coming down now)Buy even more. I have 384.

Man only 35fps for q3 when tweaked for fps?......mine is tweaked for a balance of fps vs image quality and I get around 38-40 in 1024x768. Uninstall the card from device manager Remove the 3dfx tools from add remove Programs Boot into safe mode Delete all 3dfx*.* files as well as all glide files Delete the voodoo info file in the \winnt\inf folder Reboot Install the drivers when win2k detects the card or via device manager Reboot Install 3dfx tools Reboot again All should work http://www.win2knews.com

Power DVD 2.5 works great, so does windvd.

Not that this has anything to do with this topic but, Johnny i feel the v3 drivers that were released are quite solid and offer awesome d3d peformance improvements over the betas. How ever there are some small little bugs which shows that the drivers were rushed out. But hey can you complain about not having drivers and when they release them for you complain they aren't that great? Go figure =)My motto is it only gets better than this and hell "this" is pretty good right now.

Try turning down your volume in your sblvie mixer. It cleared up all the q3 distortion I was experienceing.

Ensure you a have the latest aspi update. Grab it from http://www.win2knews.com if you need it.

HAHAHA, text book post as we were expecting. Win2k works fine for me(and many others, too many to count actually) and so does my 3dfx card.(see above comment =) hehe You really should check the hardware compatability list and do a little more research before upgrading then. Or actually try and figure things out, you'll have to do it sooner or later.

I agree, I use power DVD 2.5 for DVD on my monitor and the Hollywood+ software for tv output. Powerdvd is really sweet for software dvd on a quick machine. [This message has been edited by Seldzar (edited 20 February 2000).]

Theya re talking about refresh rates in games. Multires will work fine for your desktop....

The updates ARE for 2195 and I've used them and all seems fine.

Check symantec's web site I have had the same error. I found the solution at their web site.

eddie314 are you smoking crack? Or did you completely miss the FAQ from creative? I would call that recognizing windows 2000 exsists. Since everyone seemed to have missed it I'll say it again..... SHUT UP and quit whining. When you can write better drivers than creative's programmers then you can complain, otherwise be quiet and be patient.

You presume much, who said the 3dfx tools in the beta don't have driver support for it? The point is, installing those drivers will simply give you better 3dfx drivers for your card as is and may or may not give you any of the extra features.

HAHAHA thats funny.....comparing mouse drivers with soundcard drivers....hmmmm 3d audio implimentation or left click....hmmmmm Hey Awaxx, when at work are you not trying to be lazy or trying to get out of doing more work than you should be =)
