  1. Just tried Cool Mouse 99: http://www.surfport.com/solver/cm99set.exe and after setting a few settings in the program middle mouse button works fine. I'm using a Logitech first mouseman wheel mouse.
  2. Try this web page for programs that mihgt do it. http://www.winfiles.com/apps/nt/mouse.html I know ToggleMouse and CoolMouse work fine for middle mouse button double click in NT 4.0 , probably will work fine in 2000.

    Build 2128, TNT & D3D

Ditto I'm getting vrry disappointed in Nvidia for no driver, and at Microsoft for no easy hack. They all should rot and die. Sorry going through D3D withdrawl. [This message has been edited by Heynow (edited September 16, 1999).]

    my god the gamma!!!

Go to your \q3test\demoq3 directory and open up q3config.cfg with a text editor. make sure the line that says seta r_ignorehwgamma "1" is equal to to one as shown in the above line. Then change the line that that says: seta r_gamma "1.6" to the gamma you want (1.6 works great for me). A side effect is that you can only change the gamma through the .cfg file, but once you have your settings teh way you like, you dont have to change it agian.

    D3D in W2K

Where exactly does the CapabilityOverrid registry entry exist? I tried searching for it and could not find it. I tried partial matches on overrid and capabiliity but to no avail. I also can not get D3D to work on my 2099 build. I've tried every driver known to man. I can get opengl to work easily but D3D is a nightmare. I'm on a STB Velocity 4400 TNT card. I've tried native and all the generic drivers available. [This message has been edited by Heynow (edited September 12, 1999).]
