Hey Peeps, im in the market for a good speaker system that comes with a subwoofer for my win2k monster. ;o) im tired of my old crappy speakers (made in 1991 ;oP) so if anyone has a phat setup they recommend let me know, i have seen phat stuff in the $60-70 range from Antec Lansing, their powercube, or PC Works. Thanks Yuppie, I was just at the creative labs website and im kinda looking into their Cambridge systems since i remember seeying very high reviews about them, i havent made any final decisions but im looking into the PCWorks 2 speaker setup + Sub, which i have found for 34.95, but i stumbled today on the Soundworks Digital 2 speakers + Sub, which goes for 75.99, they are the black ones. I started thinking if digital is that much better sounding than analog for speakers? im at the benwin site now.. some phat stuff there (NY slang for international viewers)

you can try getting the updated instructions from Anthony here on NTcompatible, when you do just follow these guidelines quoted from a friend of mines (RoGuE) when i asked him about liveware 3. here goes .. "well i followed the intructions on the nt compatibility website. but i used the updated drivers from creative......its a real pain in the ass. but his instructions work real well......also in his intructions he says to run setup.exe to unpack the creative liveware 3.0, dont do that because of reasons unknown it doesnt do it right....just use winzip. his run.cmd hack works real good except you have to do it in safe mode{didnt like that}. but other than a few little things that i tried his instructions were right on the money. i wouldnt advise anyone with limited computer knowledge to try it but if your pretty puter savvy it works good. and you have to follow his instructions to the letter {except the setup exe issue} or it wont work" any other help go here win2kbox.8m.com chameleon kyoshiro [This message has been edited by chameleon (edited 05 December 1999).]

so i have easy cd 4 deluxe, havent had any problems so far.. did you guys get the 4.01 update on the deluxe version ? who knows if that could have fixed any compability problems. im using RC3 + Philips CDRW400 chameleon kyoshiro win2kbox.8m.com

Syncope, or it could be easier if you just download the voodoo2 win2k drivers from my files page on my win2kbox.8m.com and while your there you can fix anything else with drivers that you may need. later, chameleon

they are most up to date but they wont help you out as much in glide/opengl/d3d as the ones you used to overwrite the rc3 ones, hy dont you run some tests now and find out since you have the right files installed.

The detonator 3.64 Drivers are solely for RC3, if you try intalling them on anything else you will receive many problems, so remember only RC3. chameleon's win2kbox.8m.com

great .. i couldnt even get the damn half life to work ..cuz it was a ripped version, it was crap.. i del it off my dvdram, im gonna try to get another version, but glad it worked. many peeps were having probs with it but i guess with direct3d or something. chameleon's win2kbox.8m.com

is it in the HCL page ? or any NT4 drivers included in the setup cd ? or one thing that could be happening is that its normal for it to work as a normal cdrom, the same thing happened to me, i have a philips seriers 400 4x4x32x and it just works as a normal cdrom drive. except if you use a cd burning app like CDRWIN or NERO which support my cdrw and definitely yours, it will burn stuff with it. except since your drivers are not installed like in win98, you dont have all the little nifty features ..like drag and drop recording, we all have to live with it until final win2k! or philips makes sum win2k drivers ;oP let me know if that was what you were looking for. chameleon's win2kbox.8m.com

Doesnt sound like you have even plugged the phone in? try installing it and trying it out and seeying what's up! you could get lucky, and you never know how those win2k native drivers might work if there are any which you will soon find out, but try everything and give us as much feedback as possible right here. chameleon win2kbox.8m.com

Nah, just get the TNT 3.56 Detonator drivers with FIXED OpenGL from my page, they are the answer to what your problems need, give em a try and post back to see how they went! chameleon win2kbox.8m.com
