oh no, its definetly a real problem. I have a creative geforce 256 Pro, and an athlon-700 on an FIC-SD11 mobo. any driver > 3.66 (i.e. any driver with AGP turned on) causes random lockups on the desktop. one interesting thing I have noticed is every time it happens, my mouse pointer on the locked screen looks like it has been cut in half, so it seems the problem is only occuring when moving the mouse around on the desktop. (it freezes between drawing the mouse pointer movement) I have no idea if that is relevant at all.. =) I have also seen others with these problems. I am currently just running off the 3.66 drivers and they are fine. If anyone has any type of fix or work-around for this, i'd LOVE to hear it. --redwin

This is what I want to do: Set up a network name, and assign an IP to it on my computer such that my computer will go to that IP if i attempt to connect to that network name, instead of trying to find it through DNS. Example, test.bob.com most likely does not exist as a registerd DNS, but if i have an IP i want to go to, and i want my computer to go to that IP when i type in test.bob.com, instead of giving me a DNS error, who would I do this under win2k? I know i could do it in Linux, and I think in win98, but can't find an option for manually defining hosts in win2k. I have build 2195. thanks in advance for any help.

I also have a motherboard with VIA chipset, and I have the exact same problem with freezes in 3.69 and 3.75. I am running in 3.66 and the performance drop is very noticeable. Via has an AGP port driver on their webpage, but it says it is for win95/98/SE. Will this port driver work for win2k? Or if anyone know any other way to fix it, can they please give a concise easy to follow explanation of how, I would really appreciate it. *frustrated at not being able to use new drivers* --Redwin

Hi, I'm running B2195, on an Athlon-700, 128mb ram, Creative Anihhilator Pro (GeForce DDR) When I installed the 369 drivers, evertyhing worked fine, 3d, agp listed as enabled, games all ran well, etc. But then on the desktop the screen would freeze, forcing a cold reboot, and would repeat soon after rebooting. I had to use safe mode to uninstall the 369 drivers and re-install 366. Anybody got any ideas / help for this?
