    Windows 2000 Service Pack 1

F.Y.I. The utility TClock (http://homepage1.nifty.com/kazubon/) can also be used to make the taskbar buttons flat AND make the taskbar transparent! Very coolt.

    win2k 5.13 beta

Can any of you guys tell me if OpenGL screensavers work? Just try any of the Microsoft one or better; download something from http://www.3dfiles.com/screensavers/ ex Flux which is very small (34 kb) This hasnt worked for me since 3.68 or something

    Nvidia Geforce/TNT drivers 3.81

Same problem as all drivers since 3.68: OpenGL screensavers reboots the system at once (but Quake runs just fine!!) Back to NT4's OpenGL driver. (Will this bug ever be fixed?)
  4. Well i still have the same OpenGL crash bug i have had since 3.72. The weird thing is that OpenGL games works perfectly, i can play Quake3/S.O.F. for hours whitout any problems, but when i try to run an OpenGL based screensaver the systen reboots at once! Now i'm using the NT4 OpenGL driver instead and that one works with the screensavers (and of course Quake3(same speed)) I have no problems whatsoever with D3D (ex U.T.)

    NEW TNT drivers!! v3.75

Hi Im having an weird problem both with this 3.75 and the 3.69 drivers. Whenever i activate an OpenGL screensaver the machine reboots at once! (not even and bluescreen, it just like someone pressed the reset button!) but i have no trouble at all with Quake engine games, they work beatiful! When I changed the nvoglnt.dll with the one from the NT 4 drivers, the screensavers works just fine (and Quake games too, same speed also) I'm running the final OEM release (2195) and have an Diamond TNT1 card, everything else runs just fine, D3D (like UT) is no problem at all. Any tips someone?

    Q3 with G200

No it wont work, go out and buy an TNT or Voodoo3 card if you want to play games on Win2k today. Matrox hasnt even got any good OpenGL drivers for Win9*/NT4 yet...

    UT / TNT2U / W2KRC2

Got the same problem with UT, sure it runs but it aint pretty, but it still better than before when it just crashed right away. Brian, you have to disable the "3dicons" in Quake3 to fix that problem. Pull down the console (the ~ key) and type: cg_draw3dicons = 0 that will fix it.
  9. Just download and install the new drivers (3.53) from http://seldzar.dhs.org and you'll be fine. A small tip to anyone having problems with "stuttering" and lockups in Quake3, pull down console (the tilde (~) key) and type cg_draw3dIcons = 0 this will probably fix it. Frag on!

    Wich Videocard?

Just installed RC-2 on an machine with an Matrox G200 and quickly found out that OpenGL and D3D didnt work at all/not very good. Quake 1/2/3(OpenGL) didnt work and Unreal Tournament demo did start but looked awful and runned very slow (should be D3D but i think it was more software) so now i wonder wich videocard i should go out and buy, an TNT or Voodoo3 or anything else? It has to be able to run OpenGL (Quakegames) and most (all...) D3D games. I know this maybe a bit early to ask for but are there ANY card/drivers today that work good enough? (Not Win9x good but OK good)
