    I force-installed the 970CXI W2K driver from HP's home page for my 832C... can't do a print-head calibration, but do work just fine without any hitches or graphic errors.

  3. On older SMP machines which share the L2 cache, this setting makes significant noticable difference in performance. And on those old mobos the L2 cache-size varied with manufacturers, the original assumption of L2=256K was the default. [This message has been edited by nam ng (edited 15 March 2000).]

    I've had an SMP box at home since '95 with OC'ed P90s, have tried any games on hand at first chance... I admit don't know anymore the quality of GEEKs now a day, for those crying over W2K betas and SMP, I shed you a tear... SNIFF..SNIFF...you gonna want me holding your hand too???

    I've the first generation Hauppauge WinTV PCI (3yrs old mono)- Nary a problem with W2K RC2 built 2128.

    New Nvidia 3.52 driver is passing all DirectX diags, can someone with more programs try out other DirectX games as I've none?

    I installed the newer 3.36, sure is a pain in the ass, as the default built-in driver keeps restoring itself automatically.

    Greggy... your descriptions told me the attemp of driver installation didn't take, verify the driver version after new driver is loaded.
