yup works good with my live! value. finally i can use quadrophonic speakers in winamp without going to directsound and everything else (like videos) also supports all my speakers now also. which is a chance from the update off the windowsupdate site which only supported the 4 speakers in directsound.

what exactly is the link to the new keyboard software? I can't find anything new. iTouch stuff is still 1.72 build 321.
-
According to the news on the front page, there's suppose to be new drivers for their keyboards as well? I got the ones for the mouse but the iTouch software for the keyboards is still 1.72 build 321 as far as I can tell. Anyone care to differ?

Great Firewall, works flawlessly in XP. Very easy to config for a Firewall newb like me. Its got some cool features too for those who want specific security settings.

ya i got an e-mail back from tinysoftware who make winroute. the guy said ms kept changing some networking code with each beta so they're going to wait till its out before making winroute compatible. no suprise.

anyone have problems with programs running and suppose to be in the sys tray but not there? like my vnc for example. i have hide inactive disabled but its still "hidden" somewhere and i can't get to it

starting up too fast, that doesn't sound like a bad explanation. because ya initally there's a problem with the vector thing and my internet is down.. i sit around for like 3 mins then the net works and za comes back online too.

has anyone got 4 (quadrophonic speakers) working with their live value in winxp yet? i can only get 2 main speakers working.
-
Does anyone have a Canon Digital Camera working in XP? I'm just wondering if their drivers are compatible with XP.
-
just installed the drivers off the cd, works good. yipee.

Does anyone have one of these keyboards? Or any of the Logitech keyboard/mice that run on mouseware and itouch? Does it work in XP?
-
if you run the installer it will give error can't detect os or something. right click and run in compatibility for win2k. boom installs and works fine. great idea that compatibility mode. remember when win2k first came out and all those stupid drivers and programs for win98 wouldn't install?
-
well i tried in winamp to switch to directsound output no luck... i installed the live!ware 3.0 drivers and they moffed up cuz they could not detect my live!value but afterwards 4 speakers did work but the driver was buggy. when i tried to shut down the devldr32.exe i think would always crash. so i think i'll just settle with 2 speakers for now. i herd on another forum that creative is releasing XP drivers in a week or so anyway.

so whats the scoop here? is there any alternative type of internet sharing program we can use besides the default ICS that comes with windows?

You know when you install a program and then it sucks and you want to uninstall it but for some reason it says in your "Add and Remove" programs list even after you supposedly delete it? Where would I go about and look for the place in the registry or wherever that those programs are listed so I can delete it myself out of the list manually? thx

Yeah.. I knew I wasn't seeing things... Anyhoo that RegCleaner program is nice and small and does the trick.

thats what i remembered but for some reason in my tweakui i can't find that option anywhere... did they remove that with newer versions?

I want to play Wacky Wheels, and old DOS racing game by Apogee. Owns Mario Kart. Anyway, it works in Win2K except for the sound, when I run the setup says SoundCard not ready. Probably because I have no drivers really for it since I'm in Windows. Anyone have have ANY idea what I should do? I installed DOS drivers and even adjusted the properties of the PIF for the exe to the game to load special autoexec.nt and config.nt but I don't think they load the SoundCard right. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

doesn't that worm not effect win2k?

copied from the nvidia.com site Detonator3 v12.41 Windows 2000 TNT2, Vanta, GeForce256, GeForce2**, GeForce3, Quadro, and Quadro2 family of graphic processors are supported through NVIDIA's Industry Standard Unified Driver Architecture (UDA). If you are using a TNT or TNT2 Ultra product, please download the non-WHQL driver. so there you have it, hope that helps.

yup, the one and only. best racing game ever except i can't get any sound to work. i tried getting that emulation thing, it installs and everything fine but wacky wheels still seems not to detect the soundcard as a sb16

i use morpheus as well, its good other than the 1 annoying fact when you get a hit with multiple users, it seems that u have no control how many sources u start downloading from... sometimes its just 1 and if their max upload is 5/kbs then you're stuck and then other occassions u get 5x50/kbs and its done before u even know it.

i've downloaded the latest drivers and installed them off their site which are supposedly win2k compliant, but after the detection, my cards still don't show up as usb drives in windows explorer anywhere anyone have any ideas?
-
umm actually i got it to work sort of, if u just manually type in g:\ in the address bar i can access my stuff, but an icon for it just doesn't happen in my computer or explorer. weird

yea matrox is really kewl 2d... but weak 3d indeed, i wish nvidia would fix up their twin view or whatever, make it as good as matrox and i'd grab one for sure. or make an "all-in-wonder" type of card for video editing more available, i've only herd of one version of the gf3 like that.
