err whoa? really you can do this?? I've been wondering if there was a way to run game servers from my client computer but had no clue up till now! anyone got links to that winroute program?

i've never had a problem with half life running any version of the detonators. currently i'm running 5.13 and it works like a charm... of course i'd like to know how to make things brighter cuz its so dark ;(

It works for me, I got a TNT2 16MB using the 5.13 Detonators. I run 16-bit desktop as they said on their page. If it crashes you might want to run with the "messiahd3d.exe +!" in the cmd line, its suppose to help, unforunately i think it makes the highlight in the menu selection like dissappear so you can't tell what option you're on...

Do the 5.13 drivers support Direct 3D? I've been trying to run Messiah which only does Glide or D3D and it says it can't detect any Direct3D drivers... Any help? I had trouble installing the 5.13 also, at the very end it said "file could not be found" and just left it as that, but opengl works fine (Q3).

hrm i'm not sure how your adsl service works, but with @home i just enabled netmail on my accounts and then i can just set the mail server accordingly on my client. also make sure you have the pop3 and smtp stuff setup in the ICS.

i can't even get them to install, when i goto update driver and choose specified location and point to them, later on when i goto view other results (because it defaults to the nv4.inf in the inf dir) its not even in the list! i tried with the old ones but they don't appear either.. really weird..

Thats the same error you get with running Half Life servers too... something to do with the quake2 networking code or what not. Valve is fixing this in their next patch but of course ID isn't patching Q2 anymore so I suggest Gamespy instead.

well i have a deskjey 820cxi and it does take up 100% cpu according to task manager when printing... meh

I noticed installing other stuff did that too... it'd go up to 99% and hang for awhile, but eventually worked. It might have been cuz I was running a lot of junk but I'm not sure... its happened enough times to make me a little intrigued.

Err, has anyone tried running their Tweak UI lateley? I just tried to run mine and it says that "This Prerelease has expired"... and now I can't remove the icon from control panel... not without tweak ui powers anyway Any ideas?

err, but if you set your crappy s3 card as primary.. what happens when you play games. does it know that you'd want to use your agp card? cuz i have a s3 virge also but it wouldnt' go multimonitor with my tnt2

yeah that is weird indeed, it happens to me also... with voodooextreme.com sometimes i have their little icon and then other cases it doesnt' show...

How does it help performance by setting the virtual memory to a fixed amount? I'm just wondering, because I remember I tried that in Win98 and it didn't really do anything.

I've been using the NT4 opengl driver for sometime now, its great for me. I doubt I'll change to an Win2K one until there is a major release thats good and reliable.

Its probably your drivers... I'd try different ones or reinstalling the current ones.

Yes, if you check the Counter-Strike Forums under Server Ops we have been dicussing this problem. I think it has to do with authorizing to the master servers.. if you run the cmd line with -noipx and -nomaster it seems to work fine but of course your game won't be listed anymore. The moderator tells me he talked with a guy from Valve and it will be fixed next patch around.

Anyone ever try running a server (not dedicated) with Half-Life? When ppl join after awhile I crashes with the msg WSAECONRESET or something like that? Does anyone have any ideas? Btw, does anyone know how to specify which LAN Adapter HL uses in refreshing the LAN servers? Because I want to set it to cable games, but its set to my LAN at my house right now... Thanks.

Hi, my info is as follows: Win2k Final Retail IE 5.0 Celeron 450 192 Mb RAM Zone Alarm 2.0.26 I am having problems setting up Zone for my ICS over my network, Zone keeps blocking any internet requests from my other computer using the internet through ICS. I have a cable modem connection. My computer's LAN ip is 192.168.0.1 and the others (running 98) is 192.168.0.2. How might I configure Zone Alarm so that this computer allows my windows 98 computer to surf the internet and download mail? Thanks, SpaceY
