spacey replied to Damon's topic in Games
does anyone have and cmds to make the game brighter for a tnt2? -
Hey, I'm wondering if its worth the bother to upgrade to 128 Bit Encryption? Does it slow things down a lot? I'm not really like buying junk with a credit card on the net or anything.
-
I changed from a Banshee to a TNT2 also, it does seem a bit slower... Which API do you guys use for TNT2s? Glide or OpenGL? Any idea how to show your fps or calculate it?
-
u like talking to yourself there eh? i guess i'll save you from yourself now.. yeah, its not a bad idea to get a tnt2 because they're really cheap now and u get a good increase and fps.. a geforce if u got the $$$ my 1.5 cents

i converted to dynamic disk, its suppose to be faster... i unno, i didn't really have a reason not to
-
it doesn't work for me either.. well it did when i first installed it, i was able to join games ok and play, but after that i don't get any response from games when i try to join and they all appear with red pings in the list.

You may require the Win 98 SE Shutdown supplement, you can find it at the MS site under windows 98. It fixes some kind of shutdown problem.
-
I'm wondering just what the subject says. In terms of like amount of ram it takes and useful features etc.
-
did you download the mini port drivers? http://www.api.com.tw/products/imaging/service/driver/Win95NT/Win2K-EPP.exe

Has anyone gotten Dual Monitors to work? I tried it with my TNT2 and S3 Virge, I set my AGP as the primary display in the bios so my TNT2 would be primary. When I got into Win2k the device manager gave me an error with my S3 Virge card, code10 or something like that. Any thoughts?

wow window blinds are really neat where do you guys download your skins? www.skinz.org ? www.deskmod.com ? Its a great app... its kinda flakey sometimes with refreshing a lot I think, buts its a great idea... I got so bored of the tired old windows look day and night.

In order for ICS to work on an Win2k machine, its ip must be 196.168.0.1 Thats it... no exceptions.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has a Panisonic CW-7582 IDE 4X Burner and knows if it can do overburn? Also what version of firmware do you have? And how to you check? Thanks a lot.

Hey has anyone had any problems with FF8 Retail freezing up when you get to a part where they run a tutorial to explain stuff? It freezes my keyboard and I have to press my reboot button. I'm not sure if this is Win2k or FF8's fault... probably FF8.
-
yeah i'm running it on a tnt2 16mb well its good to know its not win2k... blah maybe a patch will come out.
-
it worked fine for me when i tried it? this is the latest beta demo right? cuz the first time you run its gotta compile stuff or sumthing and it takes awhile... but after that you should get into the game
-
lol... i can see this thread getting deleted pretty quicky
-
hrm, whats up with some ppl having problems with adobe.. there are quite a few... but there's also a bunch of ppl who have no problems at all like me... maybe a bad installation or sumthing.

I'm not sure if you play UT you'd want to try this because I haven't tried it with UT but it does work in Q3A better than the 3.75 detonator ones. Its the 3.68 NT4 opengl dll, I tested it against the new 3.75 and its still faster in Quake 3. Try it out for yourself. http://members.home.net/pham130/nvoglnt.dll and put it in your system32 directory in the winnt directory.
-
well i do know that on the first version of homeworld the opengl option would not work on tnt cards because it was disabled but the lastest patch does support it
-
How do you find out what version of directx you have? There's no directx folder in program files like in 98...
-
try and reinstall the detonator drivers from scratch, if that doesn't work then you might have to format.
-
it worked ok for me... what version are you using?
-
I don't think thats possible. As soon as your enable ICS, the host machine to the net's ip has to be 192.168.0.1 according to the ICS help.
