And if you downloaded it from the execsoft website, youll have to extract the exe file manually with winzip, then run the diskworkstationsomething.msi file to install it, dont remember the exact filename but youll figure it out!

I can really recommend the ibm gxp deskstar (7200 rpm Uata 66) family of harddrives! Got one myself and its very fast got 2 mb cache, and it rock solid in win2k, nt4, even when overclocking!

Found this at Betanews! Windows 2000 Goes Gold Tuesday - 11:53 PM ET Sources have reported today that Windows 2000 Build 2195 has hit Release To Manufacturing. Microsoft had encountered a few last minute bugs which led to the delay in release, initially slated for the 8th. Microsoft is set to begin shipping Windows 2000 on February 17th of next year. Although not clear on whether final CDs will ship to beta participants, Microsoft has posted the golden build to their beta FTP site and is expected to begin allowing downloads tomorrow morning. Full story to follow.

Its only working for 120 days and its NOT downloadble for everyone!!!

Hi again! You shouldnt have to reformat, i usually just search for all nv*.* and delete those files, then i unstall the video card and reboot! Then just install it again! But notice that the file nv.sys in 3.53 is called nv_mini.sys in 3.56, so just make sure to delete the right file before you insatll the other!

try Powerstrip, it allows you to assign different refresh rates to certain games! Or you could edit the .inf file that belongs to the tnt2 driver and remove all refresh rates that you dont want for certain resolutions! Then reinstall the driver!

I should had written this yesterday but i was in a hurry, sorry, Extreme it would have spared you lots of work i realise now. I had exactly the same problem with the 3.56 drivers. Quake 3 phucked up and the screen became very very bright, and i copied the 3.53 nvoglnt into the system32 folder and it works great. Or maybe just try Chameleon`s 3.56 drivers! Btw does anyone know anything about how correct the agp support displays in the directx tools window? Because i read somewhere that the tnt/2 drivers dont use agp even though says so in the dx tool window, because of a bug in the driver!
-
make sure you have the right version of nvoglnt.dll, it should be 3.53 or the 2.08, the 3.56 opengl is buggy! Just copy the right nvoglnt to your the system32 dir

I got some mouse lagging problems in mortyr, the mouse doesnt respond too good. The guy keeps walking even though i released the mouse button. Im running win2k 2183, tnt1 with 3.53 driver and sblive value, right now with only wdm driver, but i shall try the liveware3 fix when i get home! Does anyone know a solution?
-
Well, tried changing those settings like you said, Seldzar but i didnt help . But Thanx anyway. Has anyone tried those 3.56 Tnt drivers from Asus with any success?
-
Thanx for your suggestion! But since Mortyr is a directx game only, it doesnt help installing Nt4 drivers! And im using a microsoft ps/2 mouse, and i think the drivers that come with win2k is good enough! But youre probably right that it is a driver problem, And my bet is the 3.53 drivers from Nvidia or maybe soundcarddrivers.

Does anyone get the right refresh rates when playing games in win2k with the tnt drivers, I try to run unreal tournament in 1024*768 @ 85 Hz, but it seems to get a lower refresh rate when playing unreal (Directx & Opengl) and Quake (Opengl)like its 60 hz or something With the 3.36 drivers i could adjust the refresh rates with powerstrip, at least in half-life. But since upgrading to 3.55 it doesnt work anymore!!! Please help if you can
-
Hi! Does anyone get higher refresh rates than 75 Hz in d3d and opengl with a tnt card in win2k build 2128? If so HOW??
-
Thanx Zero! I shall try that when i get home. Do you know why it doesnt work by default? Is it a driver problem? Because i could change the refresh rate earlier with powerstrip with the earlier drivers 3.34 and 3.34! But now with the 3.53-3.55 drivers i cant! I mean i run win2k in 1024*768 @ 85 Hz, and its no problem in win98 or Nt4, there it runs by default.
