Ha, Creative Speakers? I used to use an AKAI Amp (with video switching) with floor speakers. Now I use a Sony DAVS500 Home theater system. I really should get a card with optical-output. Any suggestions?

Whilst that does work, this proggy overrides the Macrovision stuff that stops you from outputing DVD to VCR/TV. Also lets you easily adjust some other stuff too.

Description kinds reminds me of a ping-pong ball trick I saw done once at a strip club.

Tv Tool This works really well and only costs about $US10

Eh who cares. The screenies on Gamespy look damn cool. Especially if like has been said, they are only on "medium" settings.

I always thought the stories for all nine were written but never made into screenplays. If Lucas was to make 7,8 & 9 he might run into trouble with the amount of fan fiction written as someone might accuse him of stealing ideas. Apparently this is why ideas for Star Trek scripts are never taken from fans unless they are contracted script writers as copyright issues cause problems. Also why ideas discussed in UseNet never come to fruition - copyright issues.

I am intrigued by the Two Towers reference. Please explain? Also, Can anyone tell me the names of 3,7,8 & 9. I want to buy them but Amazon is too clogged up with Fan Fiction. Dark Empire etc. I think it is reading time. BTW, I agree with the previous comments about the casting of Anakin but my cold chill came when he told Padme that he thought the idea of a dictatorship is the best idea. "Whatever works". That and the last scene with the Imperial Death March playing.

Yup. 7,8 & 9. Originally written as a 9-part saga. Obviously the last three occur after the empire falls. If I remember correctly, Luke even has a breif stint as a Sith around number 8. However, If I'm wrong someone will correct me.

You want a heatsink to absorb the heat, yes? Let's firstly think about the strip heater in your bathroom. The silver backing plate is smooth, flat and silver. This silver backing then REFLECTS the heat, and absorbs as little as possible. Thus, if your heatsink is flat, smooth and shiny it is not absorbing the maximum amount of heat and is actually refelecting heat back into your processor, chipset etc. Like sound or light, heat is best absorbed by rough, non-reflective surfaces. Thus a heatsink that is black and rough would absorb more heat than a shiny silver smooth heatsink as long as you remove air pockets. You want your heatsink to absorb the heat, not reflect it back on the processor. Also, a rough surface has a greater surface area than a smooth one, meaning that there is more contact between the heat transfer compound and the heatsink. Think about this for a while. Take care, Felix.

Just a thought, try moving your page file to another drive and see what happens. Couldn't hurt, Anyway.

HP has a scanner that has sharing software. It's the SCSI/USB one with the auto document feeder. Can't remember the model name. Hope this helps.

After looking at the pic of the fan with the light tape in it, I reckone this stuff will become reallt popular with movie studios for cool effects.

I went back to the 12.41's cause everything else gave me the "Thread stuck in device driver" BSOD. They work really nice and I can select what refresh rate I want to use for every resolution without NVResfix. Don't ask me how, but with those drivers and the correct monitor *.inf, it automatically uses 85Hz for all resolutions.
-
I installed the 12.41 drivers and fixed the damn thing. I can't beleive it.

THat's the stupid thing. I know the tricks, I just don't do them. All my old uni work, downloads, patches etc are on D:\ All my mp3s are on E:\ Games live on F:\ The only important things on C:\ were my *.pst files, favourites and backdrops. I'm going back to DOS.

Last night, IN an attempt to test my power theory, I disconnected the extra case fans in my system. At this point I would like to point out that the fans were connected simply via a 4-pin molex connector to a spare power lead. Thus, I unplugged and removed the fans, which in no way were involved with anything other than the power supply. Okay I thought, two fans removed, more power for the video card. Thus I started her up, POST, device checking all went well, Starting Win2k - INFINITE BSOD LOOP. Okay, I thought, it's just cause I'm using the 27.42 Detonators, so I'll try a safe mode - INFINITE BSOD LOOP with all options. Okay then, I'll do a rebuild cause I hadn't backed up my favourites, outlook.pst, archive.pst and fonts. Of course, whilst I was performing the rebiuld, the machine hung and when I got back into the Win2k setup, C:\ was "unformatted or damaged" - AHHHHHHHHH, 3 years of email GONE (it's been 3 years since I last slaughtered my machine completely). WHen I tried to re-install Win2k and WinXP, I had disc-read issues - BLUE SCREEN, to i thought fux it and installed WinME, and then stupidly installed the ME 27.42 drivers, not thinking about what just happened. It hung, so I turned it off and went to bed. I will attempt to bring it back to life this weekend. Thank Christ I have a backup of my calendar and contacts at work.

Right, after reading Staying out of the loop I think that my 250w power supply may lack the juice to power "Kremlin". See my sig to see why. Now I think I'll get a 300w power supply and see what happens.

4.5mb + 10.xmb = SP1 Dammit MS. Put this SP out so I can download it at work.

Okay, Now that I've re-installed WinXP and Win2k, I'm still having the same problem. Anyhow, I'm going to try installing Win98 to see if the problem continues. Of course, I'm worried about the 512mb RAM thing. Will 98SE work on my machine. I'm getting really annoyed.
-
Done that. With both WinXP and Win2k, graphics look great until it crashes. I am now going to try disabling the "Nvidia Driver Helper Service" and see if that works. Failing that, I'm going to try installing WinME and see if it keeps happening.
