If I copy my C:\ (which is about 630mb) onto a CD, can I use Win2k on my playstation? I am really sick of my mouse / keyboard combination and want to use my dinky game controller to surf for pr0n and w4rez. ;( Also, my GeForce 2 has nothing on my PSX and TV. ######### ;( Here endith the rambling, sarcastic post. -
That's it. Just simplicity.

In the most simple terms, RJ45 refers to the connector/jack combination on the ends of a CAT5 UTP Cable. The "plug" is the RJ45 male and the one on your NIC is the RJ45 female. The fact that CAT5 UTP is often referred to as RJ45 is mainly because people get the two confused. This is similar to the way people call coax BNC when it is actually 50ohm Coax with BNC connectors. Hope this helps.

Having done a search of the forums using "viper 770" as my search terms, I turned up some posts that make we want to ask: Does the Viper 770 Ultra 32mb work fully under Win2k? Some posts indicate otherwise. It will replace my i740 in the list below. TIA ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! Actually Bishop is quite correct. If your games use different resolutions, colours or refresh rates the picture is often a different size. If you have a digital monitor, it will save the settings for each unique combination of colour/res/refresh. Therefore, just adjust the size to suit and your monitor will remember what it has to do. ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! Well, Back in the days of the NT4/95 dual boot (with a shared fat16 partition), I used to install ALL games under 95 so that they would install. I would then go into NT4 and guess what, most of them worked. Especially the ones with OpenGL support. However, some of the directx games even worked, and worked well, plus they were more stable. Perhaps some food for thought. ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! My question is: If I buy a Voodoo 5 agp and a Voodoo 5 pci and put them both in my computer (I have 2 monitors) will they work? I wonder if a utility could be made to emulate a dual head video card (like the g400) with a configuration like this? ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! Yeah, If the person does not have an account, create the account using the listed process. Once the account is created, you can then, through the process I described, lock down specific drives, directories and even files to any combination of read/write/execute/list you wish to see. By doing this you can ensure all users only have the access they require. ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! Set the permissions on the folder in question to read/list for both files and directories for that specific user. Right click on the folder > properties > security and go from there. ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! I can't quite follow what you're saying. Are you saying that they will put 9x support back into this OS - I mean the real-mode stuff? By skinnable OS, you mean Linux style cosmetics such as gnome/sawmill combination under RH6.2? Apart from the revamp of online services that you mentioned, I was unable to comprehend the rest of your post. Could you give some more detail regarding the 9x support and *.net. Thanks, Felix. ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! I have a problem with multi-monitors under Win2k. No S3 cards work. The SIS card I have is not compatible. Are there any cheap video cards that ACTUALLY work in multi-mode. I just want a damn video card that won't cost me my wallet and sanity. Really pissed off at this point. ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! Yep, that's me. I'm the one who originally posted about the drivers because i was so excited about them finally coming out I can finally see where I'm shooting/driving in Half-Life and NFS5. I'm sooooo happy that they released the drivers because I can't afford a TNT2. ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive! win2k compatible video capture cards info needed really badl
felix replied to dare911's topic in Hardware
My Lifeview FlyVideo '98 works fine. However the card itself comes from the cheap end of the spectrum. It is fine though for TV and a small amount of *.avi capturing. ------------------ Written on Win2000 using: PII 300 Aopen AX6B 160mb RAM i740 8mb SBLive!
