Just a quick - yet very crusual question! Whenever I try to play a game it's on for about 1 min. and then it hangs! When I'm in programs and just Windows 2000 itself nothing is wrong. It's a brand new computer so the hardware should be fine! Besides, it worked when I used Windows ME. Please help me caus I really dont want to format my drive!
-
Well you're probably right! Besides THE **** STILL DOESN'T WORK!!! Maybe it's the graphics-card which is ****ed up! And to think I just bought it!
-
Thanks for the help - the problem is now solved. Formatted and installed Win98
-
I'm not so sure of that! I got the latest ones (6.47 i think) and I would assume they work fine? But maybe I should try and install some others..
-
Works fine on my computer too!! Could it be that it's not the original version you have??
-
And if it still doesn't work try searching through some of the other posts regarding LiveWare! 3.0 'caus theres enough of them!! Pendragon

You can probably also get them here: www.riva3d.com www.rivazone.com Happy hunting! Pendragon

take a look at the topic... just saying! But damn it's annoys me when people post this #"!#".. Can't they get a warning or something and get banned after 2 or 3 warnings... just an idea.

Ok here the thing. My computer has 128MB Ram and a MS6169 Athlon Motherboard. Whenever I try to install new ram, in this case 128MB more, Windows crashes sometimes with an error saying something about MEMORY DUMP FAILED AT ADDRESS 1231231451"##!%#!% Whatever!!! I tried all kinds of RAM also one the excact same as the one I have now but nothing works! It's the same thing over and over again. This error also occured on my old PC and that is whats puzzling me. Is it a motherboard config. or something??? Please help. Thanks.

Ok thanks! I'll try and fiddle around with this problem a bit more but thats it... I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens but I hope you can understand why I'm so frustrated. About the software, I'll see if I can't find anything shareware first since I'm very cheap (Just kidding!) but since I live in Denmark I'd probably have to go through all kinds of stuff to get that software, so for now it's hunting at Tucows! Thanks for the help!

Ok... Here the thing. Thanks for the replies btw.! I have tried everything everybody tells me to do.. Before I posted this message in the first place. I tried shifting around my memory blocks (alone - it's 2 128MB RAM block - they work fine! but together... Thats were the trouble starts!). It's random places the errors occur, sometimes when accessing a subfolder in the Explorer or when I click an icon... It's seems very strange and if I can't get this damn thing to work I'll go mad! Think about it! I have 128MB of memory just lying around used only to collect dust! I hope you can understand my frustration.

Try looking at the Win2k section... I think your problem (or similar) is posted as well as solved there...

Why the he"#¤" did you post this under "Games".. Take this somewhere else since it has no interest here! [This message has been edited by Pendragon (edited 08 December 1999).]

Well, i guess somebody had to report another DVD problem and I'm sorry it had to be me.. I had a test DVD-Rom and used with WinDVD - worked fine.. I the bought "The Matrix" and tried it... Didn't work AT ALL.. I can hear the sound (or parts of it - it's very stuttering) in the background but there is no picture.. When i try to change chapter everything f#"¤# up. I have an Athlon 500MHz, 128MBRam, Creative Riva TNT.. I've got WinDVD as my player.. What could be the problem? Please help!

Otherwise get WinDVD... www.dvdutil.com.. It works great with Win2k.

Hi! I looked through all posts but couldn't seem to find any fix to the the problem I have! It's quite simple. Whenever I try to run Half-Life I get a Windows error and a log is created (or so the error says!). Could a patch fix this problem?? I have Win2k RC2... Thanks...

Hi! I was wondering if it was possible to get all four speakers to work in Win2k. I've got a SBLive! and the SoundWorks (or something) 4-Point speaker system. After I installed Windows 2000 RC 2 only two of my speakers worked (the 2 in front), and LiveWare! didn't work anymore.. So, is it possible to get all 4 speakers to work?

Hi! I was wondering if anybody had tried Interstate '81 with Win2k.. I cant make it work but I also have a .... what do you say.... a lesser version of the game... But please reply anyways
-
Well, I know about the blank screens once in a while and that you have to press [enter] to skip them... But the problem is when the level is loading... I see a picture which says "Interstate 82" and there is an explosion. But this is where it hangs..
-
Well, I made it work... a while back.. But that was through the step-by-step found on this site... But I still have some few problems but nothing major. Thanks for replying
-
Try visiting S3's homepage and find the newest drivers for your graphicscard. Including a BIOS update... That should probably help.
-
Ok ok ok! Interstate '82.. Sorry! But still, i just can't make the game run.. It runs fine until the game itself is being loaded (you see a huge explosion with the word Interstate '82 in it).. Thats when it hangs..

First of all, I also get the weird stuff in the menus but I think thats because LiveWare!3.0 doesn't come with new environments.. So if you upgraded from 2.0 or earlier this would probably not be a problem.. As for the echo, I had the same problem... It's because the default environment is "aftersixpack" (I think thats what it's called). All you have to do is go to the environment control and remove all the Echo and some of the Reverb.. then save the new settings and TADAAAA!! That should work!
