    Taskbar annoyance

I have searched around MS support center and attempted to find a solution from various websites but all have been for not. Here is hoping someone can offer a solution. Let me try and describe this, people are familiar of the feature that an application window in the taskbar will blink at you when it wants your attention right? My problem is, sometimes (enough to annoy the hell out of me) when i switch to an application, it will just blink at me in the taskbar, it shows it as the active app there but does not "switch" to it on the desktop. Of course, if i click on the taskbar again then it minimizes the app. I am forced to click off the desired app and then back on, usually the 2nd time i can switch to the application. This is under Win2000. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? Thanks

    Upgrading to SMP Win2000

Sounds good to me. I wasn't sure about the resource kit but thank you for clearing that up. Thanks

    Upgrading to SMP Win2000

I have a single processor system running NT 4.0 and Win2000. I am planning on upgrading this computer to an SMP environment. Very simple question, will I need to reinstall the OS's just to switch to the SMP kernel? I thought I had remembered reading about something off the NT 4.0 resource kit that would perform the software side of this upgrade without requiring a reinstall. Anyone?

    CD Changer under RC2

Interesting, mine is the IDE version and I can vouch for it not working like it has in previous versions of Windows. I had already poked around in Disk Admin with no avail. Thanks for the suggestions though, I'll keep at it. [This message has been edited by EvilEyez (edited 06 November 1999).]

    CD Changer under RC2

I have a Nakamitchi 5 disc cd changer. The drive works natively in NT/95/98, that is, i don't need to install any drivers outside of what the OS provided. Each disc is assigned a drive letter. Under Win 2000 RC2, only the first disc is assigned a drive letter, all subsequent discs are not accessible. Any suggestions to get this to work? Its been my only hardware issue thus far. Thanks
