Has anyone gotten this to work in win2k? mine installs fine but won't scan.

How do I remove Icon from the control panel? Thanks in advance

They didn't work for me, I had to upgrade the ASPI and all worked fine.

I got mine to work...I just went into add new hardware and on the sidewind gamepad (i think) it says autodetect, I clicked and it set mine up...all the drivers and all.

I know I have 2195 but am unsure if it is .1 or .3. I know this questions must have been asked before but I could not find it in here. Can anyone tell me how I find this out. Thanks

When I go to system information I get the message No Information Categories could be found. Can someone tell me how to get this back...I would hate to have to reinstall. Thanks...

If I get an Abit BP6 MB and another 366 processor....will I be assured that I can run a Dual system with Win2k. I would hate to spend the money and it not work. I have recently read that microshaft(ehhh...microsoft) has disabled this. Thanks

Igor, what is a flip chip...is this the new celeron processor that is supposed to be having a 100mhz clock instead of the 66? Yuppie, can you reccommend a good slot 1 dual processor for around $150? Sorry...I just assumed that you all would remember all the problems I had getting liveware to work....(I wrote the little christmas jingle... fighting with my wife, 2 shot glasses....an so on... Default speed did not help.... Do you think it might be Liveware!? I hear only a hissing noise thru my speaker when it lock at the ID logo.

I have not tried at default speed....I will though. My build is 2160. And No my TNT2 in not overclocked... Thanks for the help.

I am thinking or switching to a Dual Processor setup. My question is this. How much of a performance gain can I expect to see in my games? Like UT,Q3,NFSHS, and so on. I have a 366@550 (want to due this in dual) 128 mb Asus TNT2 Ultra SBL value WD 8.4 and so on. Thanks Lator Gator

thanks for the input guys....I want to do this for two reasons and the first on is the experience as I am studying for my MCSE. The second is, I was hoping it would help out my game playing especially online. Don't get me wrong I have a great system and the machine I would be doing this on is my game machine. I am getting 40+ fps in UT with all the eye candy turned on. But as computers are like cars....you always want the fastest you can get...I was hoping it was going to make a noticable difference. Take the check mark out of Use automatic settings and try useing the setting based on....( you will have choices like ...... base configuration 0002. Try one of these and if you have an irq conflict still just double click the irq line and it should let you change that also.....

Ok Guys, After 4 straight days (about 3 weeks ago), three fights with my wife, 2 shot glasses, and a formated WD harddrive.(sung to the 12 days of christmas...hehe) I finally reinstalled Win2K last night and tried to install Liveware! 3.0. I followed the liveware 31 instructions (not the ones just released) with a few additions. 1. disable Irq steering 2. disable modem speaker 3. disable Unimodem half-duplex audio device.(this is the one that finally allowed the fix to work). All is working fine now, I have great sound, 4 or 2 speaker support, surround support, everything appears to be working great. After I extracted the program I think (it was late) I had to rename that setup_ex file to setup.exe (like in the 30 fix.) and ran the rest of the setup from there. Again this is a I THINK, try following the instructions first and if it hangs try renaming the above mentioned file. If you need help I promise I will answer you post. Just give me time as I am in the USA and most of you are about 5 hrs ahead of me... Good Luck

sounds like something went array somewhere. I would suggest reinstalling 4.0 drivers thru the device manager. Then reboot even if it doesn't prompt you too. Just a note, my sound card and speakers work fine even though the properties tab says that no drivers are installed for the device. Just make sure you are copying the drivers from the Audio\english\NT4drv. From what I gather....Liveware! can't see the win2k drivers and therefore won't load the plugin and does not initialize correctly. If you just want to remove the reverb problem go to the environment tab and back the reverb down to 0%. Lator Gator
