Uh, hi again. I've reasonably learned my lesson, and have actually looked for information on this. I remember seeing something, but can't remember where, or what it said, so if someone could point me in the direction of finding information on getting the Rio PMP300 software running in win2k, I would be much appreciative.

Yah.. I have a TNT and a Voodoo2 SLI rig.. And I was wonder if there was ANY way I could get true Direct3d running on my system? OpenGL works fine, Glide works fine. D3D? Nada. I have RC2 build 2128.

I've got a Creative Ensoniq AudioPCI. Supposedly, Win2k supports it. Now, how do I get it to work properly? I want to have the specialized mixer that comes with the AudioPCI software, but also need DirectSound support. How is this done?

Update: I just ran Unreal Tournament, in Direct3d, and also Drakan: Order of the Flame. The graphics weren't great, but they ran. I was just astounded. Oh, I'm using the 3.53 Det ref drivers.
-
There are NT drivers, as I run a 98/NT/2000 box, now, but the NT drivers don't have a DirectSound interface. And last time I tried to install them, I messed it up, and had to reinstall the OS.
-
Are these drivers supposed to have D3D support? I just downloaded them, and they don't appear to have the D3d subsystem. Am I wrong? Help me out, please.

What 3.53 drivers are you using? Where do I get them? Thanks.

Problems running games? I have yet to experience any problems with Win2k, aside from annoying bugs in Dial-up Networking, and the lack of Direct3D support. I have a TNT and Dual Voodoo2's, and have run: Half-Life (Runs great, actually) Quake2 Unreal Tournament Age of Empires 2 Essentially anything that ran for me in NT runs in 2K. It's a great OS. Better drivers, and Microsoft will have actually produced a viable platform!

I have Win2k RC2 build 2128, and have noticed the lack of D3d support. I don't mind this. What I mind is that I have no clue as to how to install my Voodoo2 cards under Win2k. Do I use NT-based drivers, and a hacked INF file? What? Help!

But, the Voodoo2 NT 4 drivers come in an executable. How do I extract them from such, and insert the new .INF file?
